DP Colin is a golfer and not impressed with this dialogue.  He's handicapped punwise.

He thinks FairWays manufactures honest scales?

Heading down now to begin another week of cleaning, starting with the dining room. Then, a very full evening of viewing.

Our State holiday today - "Melbourne Cup Day".

And I thought it was a Down-Under version of a Pimm's Cup!

Yup -

Quote
Radio Golf is a play that first premiered in 2005 by August Wilson. The play was premiered by the Yale Repertory Theatre and then presented on the West Coast by the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. The Huntington Theatre Company in Boston, Massachusetts then produced it in October, 2006.

An allusion which does indicate the age of the writer and the reader!

You'll have to tell him this is just par for the HHW course.

I saw that & thought about friending him but wondered if that would be kind of stalkerly.

I've been stalking him for the last 10 years and I ended up doing his tribute websit!   ::) ;D

He was a banker - and thus seriously challenged by the real world. Or a world like HHW which is quite the reverse!

I think I should make an allusion to the illusions of Alice in the Looking Glass but I'm not sure where that will lead the punsters.

We watched "The Brothers Grimm" last night.
Great idea.  Another director may have made it work.

I don't think I felt manipulated by last nights DESP. HOUSEWIVES...all I know is it was fun, fun, fun...and that is all I expect from a show like this...for me, anyhow.

Everytime I see a clip from BROTHERS AND SISTERS I end up wishing it was as how I has started watching...it looks good.

Cillaliz-
Killbot and Walty do this regularly. What begins as pleasant grooming always ends in a scrap.

I'm actually quite happy about it.  It's the first time it's started nice - they are becoming friends!

I am caught up.  Head still hurts, but I confirmed I'd be there at 6:30 AM so I better start feeling better.  I'm off to get some take-out I ordered for dinner. I'll be back later

RE: tonight's STUDIO 60 (general comments, no spoilers).

I watched it last night.  It is a 2 parter that goes back and forth in the timeline.

I don't love this show. But this episode kept me completely interested the entire time.  Now perhaps part of this was me trying to figure out the story.  But I'm actually quite interested to see part 2 (which i don't think is for 2 weeks). Not completely sure about that, but that's what it says in my tv guide.

Tonight on tv I have: prison break, heroes and the closer.  I'll probably record the latter.

It started raining here in Olympia and the Pacific Northwest yesterday (or was it Saturday?) and it hasn't stopped!  It's been raining and raining and raining!  I'd heard that there was a mudslide on Highway 101 near Shelton, but I don't have to worry about that.  It's too far away.  But there is some road construction around Costco and that's a pain to drive. :P I will happily go the long way to avoid all the pot holes.
