Holy moly, I never thought I would be here for page 6. I blame Cillaliz and Quisp.

Wayman W seemed to have an unstated criterion that his featured Leading Men be cute, or at least photogenic.  :)   Might we see some more charactery leading men in the future Leading Men column, or is it still going after the same demographic?

The new writer shall not be choosing subjects based upon appearance, I'll put it that way. I can't speak to how the last fellow did it. He was able to get a lot of incredible interviews. For me, it's about whoever is interesting and not being covered elsewhere already.

I'm back from rehearsal and ready to drop.  Tomorrow I've got to write curtain calls, and my writing on THE BRAIN is finito!  The ever-beautiful PennyO came by today and helped me put the band books in order.  I was thrilled to see her, and her visit was a nice afternoon pick-me-up.    She did a wonderful job assembling the books while I finished writing the last cues fir the mighty band. It's a very catchy score with a couple of songs I find both touching and funny, and there are a few good rock and rollers where the band goes to town.  I'm very proud of my work on the show and it's fun to be collaborating with my beloved BK again.  There are several numbers where I know I did excellent work and I have to say I love my arrangement of the Entr'Acte, which gives the boys a moment to riff on a good Kimmel tune. Some of this score make me want to get up on my seat and dance.  I look forward to our DRs reactions.

So, I'm no longer frustrated by the lack of a good studio space, although PennyO and I could have used a bigger table this afternoon.  As my friend Michael Korie says, I know what to ask for in my next contract. I am thrilled to have been a part of this production, and I will miss everyone when I head back to New York on Sunday.

A good news report - good to know that today was better DR Elmore.  And with a Penny for your thoughts.
