Well, I still have on remnants of make-up and a lot of gunk in my hair that I need to wash out.  So, I'm going to take a shower and get ready to watch some TV.  I have a lot on my DVR that I need to watch and delete.  Later!

Cilla - Toby and Dylan are glad to have me at home, but they do very much love Maureen, who had been watching them for the weekend while we were (almost) en route to L.A.

Maureen was with us after Drowsy Chaperone, no?

Cilla - yes, that was Maureen, sitting on the other side of me when we were at Joe Allen's, also sitting next to Lenny Wolpe.  (She was also one of Bk's co-stars in the LAST STARFIGHTER readings at the NY Musical Theatre Festival.)

I was sure that was who you were talking about, but I thought I'd ask. She was very nice, I enjoyed our conversation

I made 4 different batches of cookies today and escaped with only mild injuries and 2 ruined pot holders.  All in all a success.

Has anyone else here been watching the 1st season of Mission: Impossible on DVD?

The series is everything the movies are not. It was all about teamwork.

I think the video transfer is quite good any comments out there?

Yes, indeed, football did indeed run late. As a result, though I recorded COLD CASE and WITHOUT A TRACE, their uncertain hours made it impossible for me to watch them this evening. In fact, I only watched one network TV show this evening. Everything else was DVDs and DVR.

I started the evening by finishing WATERLOO BRIDGE. Yep, ended just as expected. Mae Clark was OK, probably perfect for the role in that era. Vivien Leigh in the remake was a very different woman.

In addition to baking coffee cakes and doing the Christmas tree, today I cleaned off the package wrapping table, organized what shopping I have done, and got an AMVETS donation ready for pick-up tomorrow morning.  This elf is tired, so

Goodnight!

And I pulled Whitney Stine and Bette Davis's MOTHER GODDAM off the shelf to read Bette's comments about WATERLOO BRIDGE since it was made so early in her movie career.

She said she spent the entire movie wanting to play the lead, and she could have!

Next, I put in THE ROBE and watched it. Hadn't seen it in awhile, and it was good to reconnect with it again. Fox didn't go to any great lengths with the transfer. It's a pretty dirty print they've used though the Technicolor is vibrant.
