Well, you've read the notes, you were wearing your gay apparel whilst reading them, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're just getting into their gay apparel and will be home in West Hollywood soon thereafter.

TOTD:

As mentioned the other day - I really like Bobby Vinton's version of "Oh Holy Night".  I also like the versions by Michael Ball and Linda Eder.

As a kid I loved "The Little Drummer Boy" - the Harry Simeone Chorale Version and also the later one by Johnny Cash.

I'm fond of "I Want a Hippopotomus For Christmas" and "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer". Other favourites are Frank Kelly's version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" and also the one by Alan Sherman.

My most played Christmas collections are those by The Carpenters, John Denver and a special collection by Mr Larry Moore.

Of the more obscure Christmas songs, Bobby Vee's "Electric Trains and You" is a delight.

It raining here in the city of Tampa.  I'm not coughing like I've been either.  I wonder if the weather is the connection?

I tried to get on the board last night but something was wrong with the cable.  I couldn't get to the topic.  I don't think it was the board itself because I saw a lot of people on it.

Hi Ginny!  Wanna ride the bus with me?

Yeah, I gotta go back to work today after five splendid days off.  At least it's payday!

Work is a four letter word. Ugh.  I wish I didn't have to go either.

I bought 2 tickets for the raffle drawing the lotto is having on Jan 1.   I've got my fingers and toes crossed that I will be one of the winners.

Hi, DR Elmore.  I'm off to work now, but will sign back on when I get there.

Bye for now.

Good morning, all!  I'm certainly glad I missed last night's performance!  The  sound problems would have had me raving more than I do usually.  I wanted to fly back to LA for the last performances and to be at the recording sessions, but since it's going to spread over three days -  I wanted to hang out with everyone - I'll trust the instincts of my Dear Friend BK and wait for a rough mix or the completed album.

Today my dad turns 85, and I need to call him and tell him I'm counting on there being an 86th; I'm not ready to let go yet.

My day consists of the things I didn't get to yesterday: NYPL and the New Mozart Edition, plus the start of a huge report on how to assemble from three libretti dated late 1902, 1904, and post-1916, a reconstruction of the original 1904 tour of BABES IN TOYLAND!

I'm always asking for vibes for me and my dad, but I'm terribly remiss about others at times, so here goes![move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]

I was giving that apparel to BK for Christmas!  Now I need to find something else.

RE: last night's MEDIUM.

I also loved it.

That part with marie doing the "airplane" was neat. I had never thought of that as the reason.

I also loved the whole storyline. It was unique and really interesting. It kept my interest throughout the entire show.

I'm just wondering about the ending.

It sort of ending in a weird way to me. Like i was waiting for a couple more scenes. Will this be continued?  To me it was not resolved.

My favorite Christmas song is "The Man With the Bag."  My favorite rendition is the one in the Radio City Music Hall show, which seems to have become an annual tradition for me.

SO excited about the CAST recording of BRAIN FROM PLANET X (does the official title have the THE in it?).

And actually I think one would wear cha cha heels NOT kick heels with satin pants....I think.  DR MBARNUM should ask Laurie Mitchell, that is what she wore EXCLUSIVELY in THE QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE.

Another vote for the Larry Moore Christmas collection, which I play at Ye Olde World of Wisdom.  There are always lovely comments about the selections.

I like Christmas albums from Carpenters, Rosemary Clooney, and Giselle McKenzie.   BUT....my favorite Christmas albums of ALL are those by:

DORIS DAY and PAT BOONE.
