Well, you've read the notes, the notes gave you the business, and now it is time for you to post until the back in business cows come home.

Well. I'm sick!  I've picked up some sort of a bug, and I will not be laving the apartment today unless I truly need something.  I do not like feeling puny.

However, the news of the Manhattan return of DR Jose is occasion for festivity, and that news cheers me up.

I have never played a video game.

TOD: The only video games I've played have been in the laundromat. Of those, my favorite was Galaga, and I got pretty good at it, for someone who only plays tiwce a month.

I also admit a potential addiction to Tetris. I have never bought a copy of it because I recognize this.

DR Elmore, I hope you feel better soon. If it's anything like the flu Greg and I had---fever, chills and stomach ache, I got over it in 24 hours. So lay low. Maybe DR Jose will bring you some chicken soup!

And the word of the day is: DEFENESTRATE!
Casey would waltz
With a strawberry blonde
Closer and closer to the balcony
Set high on the 200th floor -
Or so he imagined.
In reality, he sat chortling quietly in a windowless padded cell,
Wrapped in a straightjacket,
Where there was no chance that he could DEFENESTRATE
Any more innocent passersby.

The WUSSBURGERS have WUSSBURGERED.
Last night, der Brucer and I had fries with our bacon and cheese wussburgers.  They were quite tasty.

Der Brucer is a Free Cell player.  I enjoy the game, as well, and also play Minesweeper - both hangovers from the early days of Windows.

As for on-line computer games, JigSaw Soduko makes a nice break in the routine.  And I recently came across White JigSaw, addictive in it's own way.

Der Brucer wants to get on-line.  Whether he'll be chatting here, or really taking care of business, who knows.

Good morning!

It's a grand and glorious day outside despite being very cold. (40 right now). But the temps are supposed to warm up each day this week, so it promises to be a nice one.

I, too, am most preturbed about the post office being closed for three days. Very irritating.

Sorry you're not feeling well, DR Elmore. Hope you get to feeling better as the day wears on.

I don't know why but I always DREAD getting sick during the winter. For some reason, I can take it better when I come down with something during hot weather.

The first computer games I ever played were with my Atari 800XL computer. Atari ported over many of their arcade games to their computers, and I loved DONKEY KONG, MS. PAC MAN, DIG DUG, and others.

I also played a lot of those Infocom text mystery games like DEADLINE, WITNESS, and BALLYHOO. Lots of fun.

As far as PC games now, I basically play two that came with Windows: Spider Solitaire and Pinball. I also bought a Mah Jongg game which I can waste a few hours a week on. If I'm sitting at my desk and the telephone rings, I can usually carry on a conversation with the person and play Mah Jongg while I'm talking.

I looked over my too large stack of DVDs on the to-watch shelf and selected SUPERMAN III to watch this afternoon. I haven't seen it since I saw it at the movies. Not a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but it'll be good to see Christopher Reeve again, and I seem to remember liking Annette O'Toole as Lana Lang in it, so I look forward to seeing it again.

And I was correct about NBC having new episodes of its LAW & ORDER shows on tonight. Brian Dennehy guests on SVU.
