I just hate when I volunteer like that.  That almost happened to me recently, I will still be volunteering but I won't be organizing something I really don't feel comfortable with in the first place.

I am proud of myself for declining a volunteer opportunity that would have taken me out of town and working for free for two weeks.

I've decided that my little history of The Brain isn't what I want, so I'm going to redo it and make it very short and sweet - kind of what I wrote for that newspaper thing I did.

I am working on updates for BK and Larry's sites. Taking a little longer than I thought. Cason is writing something for  The Brain From Planet X page.

We are having trouble with our web server too -- my son (the webmaster) hasn't  been able to access our site to update it for a couple of months. Emails to the server have produced no results.

DRLaura-Thanks for the photo.  In the past we have had a few cats that would have loved the fountain.

DRLaura-What does a fountain for cats look like?

This is exactly what I bought for my cat, but I don't think she ever drank out of it...she always seemed afraid of it. :-\

I am watching a really bad, bad World War ll comedy from 1942 called FALL IN...but it stars my interviewee Rebel Randall and a lady I met in Los Angeles last year, Jean Porter, so I will stick with it.

I watched a couple of CSI episodes to begin my evening. One was last season's famous one with the forensic documentary camera crew following around the CSIs as they worked on a particularly perplexing case.

The other had to do with the murder of a psychic in her occult shop. This was one of the easier ones to identify the murderer though the motive for murder wasn't revealed until quite a long time into the program.

To take me up to the beginning of the prime time programming I wanted to view, I rewatched the Stanley Donen PRIVATE SCREENINGS. I only got up to SEVEN BRIDES in his discussion of his career, but I did like the interview.

Yes, BK, Barbara Payton was the original "bad girl," and how!

I believe that DR Rodzinski is rather a fan of hers.

LAW & ORDER: CI had a sad story of the murder of a Palistinian girl right under the Unisphere in NYC. Once all the suspects were revealed, it was a pretty easy murder to solve. Sadly, there was another murder of an innocent person that took place during the investigation.

I decided to watch LAW & ORDER: SVU tonight since not only was Brian Dennehy a guest star but Karen Ziemba was also featured as a doctor on the show. Nice to see Mariska Hargitay back as a regular working with Christopher Meloni.

I'm sure MEDIUM will have a new episode tomorrow night. Not sure what else is coming on prime time TV that I might want to see tomorrow night.

As for DVDs tomorrow, I have made no decisions yet. I'll have to look back over the DVD stacks tomorrow.

Wow---is that still there?

I remember how impressive it was when we went to the World's Fair there in between moving from one state to another. '64, was it?

Good Evening!  -Again...

So... Basically, I just had accumulated waaaaaaaaaay toooooo much stuff in my DC apartment to take back in one car trip.  I did make three trips to my parents' house yesterday to drop-off/stash some stuff... And I ended up making a two or three more today - I actually can't remember if I did make two or three?!?!?...  So, after deciding that I had enough room in my car for the stuff I still had in the apartment, I packed(!) the car up, and started the trip back to NYC... At 4:30!

Thankfully, because the government offices were closed, the rush hour traffic in DC was basically non-existent, and the only slow-downs were due to two small accidents just past Baltimore.  I arrived the George Washington Bridge at little before 8:30 - made great time just going the speed limit - and I pulled up in front of my apartment a little before 9:00.  *A semi had broken down a couple of feet from the toll booths, so... Ah, well...

I'm Home!

I unloaded the car, and I'll unpack everything tomorrow.  -I also need to do some cleaning since the handy-man did not really clean up after fixing/replacing a bunch of tiles in my bedroom.  Dust, dust, dust.

*And I just had some Popeye's fried chicken for a late dinner.  :)  "Love that chicken..."
