Good Morning!

Ah, sleep...

Now to finish up the packing...

Hopefully, I'll be on the road by 1:00...  *And after listening to the traffic reports on the radio, that's probably a good thing.  In addition to all the road closures today due to Ford's Funeral, it's been quite the morning for accidents(!).

OK.... I should run...  -Since I also have to disconnect my wireless set-up here...  Next post from NYC!

:):D:)

I've got some time before I start lunch, so I think I'll clean the living room this morning instead of leaving it for later.

Drat!

Curses!  Spoiled AGAIN!

I HATED getting out of bed at 6:30 a.m.

I HATED having to get dressed for WORK!

I LOATHED and DESPISED every one of the 4 miles I drove to get to work.

And now that I'm here....well....

Oh, well...!

DR MBarnum:

That's a nice collection of Christmas Salt 'n Peppers.

Tell me, though....how do they stay on top of the washer when you're doing a load of clothes?

The only video game I have ever played was PONG, and that was a loooooong time ago.

BOOKWORM is the only game I have played on the PC and I do try to stay away from it otherwise 3 or 4 hours can easily be eaten up.

I think I may have played a few games of PAC MAN back in the day when they had those machines at the pizza places.

I'm up, I'm up.  As usual, my head is now a fountain of book thoughts, and I'm scribbling like mad on various and sundried pieces of paper.

Had a few e-mails to deal with this morning, which I have done.  I now must ungroggify so I can joggify.  Today I'm back on my maintaining or losing weight regime.

Is that how to spell Episcopal?  How should a Jew know these things?

I've said it before, but I must say that unlike my other home environment, from the bedroom in this home environment you get complete stillness and silence most of the time - the other home environment bedroom was filled with annoying sounds day and night.

Yesterday evening, I was most errant and truant.  I went to my parents' for dinner (spaghetti, corn bread and homemade cookies for dessert) and then we all watched "We're No Angels."  I'd seen bits of it over the years, but I don't think any of us (except my dad) had seen it all the way through.  I didn't know that it was based on a play!  It was funny in ways that movies today aren't.  A very good time was had by all. :D

After the movie was over, we all went to our respective homes.  I came here and decided to watch recorded episodes of "Battlestar Galactica" that I've been saying I need to watch. ::) I was able to watch two episodes before getting too tired (too tired to log on, too), so I went to bed.  I only have the fall season finale to watch and then I'm all caught up on BG. :)

Topic of the Day:

Computer games:  FreeCell and various forms of Solitaire

Video games:  "Super Mario World" (and several other Super Nintendo Mario games) and "The Legend of Zelda:  A Link to the Past" were my two most favorite games.  I only had the Super Nintendo game console.  When I had the Texas Instruments 99/4-A (when I was in high school in the 1980s), it came with two game cartridges, but I don't even remember what they were.  And a few years before that, my parents bought a version of Pong.  That was fun! ;)

If anyone wants a sweet, but slightly confusing story watch THE LAKE HOUSE (with keanu reeves and sandra bullock). I like complex stories that you really have to think about. Although i could see some people finding this movie way too confusing.

But you'll need many kleenex! I loved it.
