And how IS needs-to-be-bitch-slapped former DR Jason?

;D

He's doing very well.  Busy.  He had another career change a couple of months ago, and he's now a full-time "theatrical merchandiser" hawking t-shirts, mugs, CDs, magnets and other paraphernalia.  In fact, he's now management.  Alas, he's now covering eight shows a week - sometimes ten.  But, all in all, he's doing well.  And now that I'm back in town full-time, we're gonna start "investigating" this idea we had a couple months back for a one-man show... Stay tuned.  :)

(I know Jason KNOWS I don't mean that about the "needs to be bitch-slapped" part.  But in case he doesn't, I DON'T mean that).

I'm sure he knows.  And, besides, any bitch slaps would be administered with love.  ;)

Otherwise, not a bad day for a gray, drizzly day in New York City.  -However, I've always thought there's something "very New York" about a rainy day in New York City.

And, lo and behold, all four of us - myself and my three roomies - happen to be home tonight.  I believe a game of Killer Bunnies or Monopoly - New York City Edition.

Wow...that's amazing.  Good thing it didn't catch on fire or explode!  (and I fixed the link in the quote above.)

Thanks for fixing the link.

Well, I'm about to leave for the first (and most likely, only) reunion party for the cast and crew of Cannibal:  The Musical!  It's being held at the home of the Indian chief, played fabulously by Jacob.  It should be a lot of fun. ;D

Ah... Those Special Edition Hershey Kisses...

I believe over the holiday season I sampled:

Hershey's:
Candy Cane Mint Kisses
Dark Chocolate Raspberry Kisses
Dark Chocolate Orange Kisses
Dark Chocolate Strawberry Kisses

All quite good.

I've caught up!

Media update.  We watched "Shirley Valentine" last night. (No that was not a Peeping  Tom reference)

While I thought that the SHIRLEY VALENTINE movie was just ok, I loved the play.  I still remember the crowd going wild when the curtain rose on the second act.  Pauline Collins was wonderful in both the play and movie.

Tomovoz - That APPLE TREE joke is the pits, rotten to the core, and hasn't got a peel.

Still, it is tempting.

I am spending the evening listening to alternatively acquired show recordings.  Currently listening to Patti Lu as Yo Mama Rose.  It's...different.

If a gay quartet were to be invited to sing, would they be four bidden fruits?

Has anyone seen my glasses? Almost a Sunday In The Park reference. I've been searching the house for five hours!

If I were wearing them it would be so much easy to locate them. As always they'll turn upi n the last place I look.  (A RLP reference)

All right, I'm going to sleep now.

Cherry Coke!

Floop!

UNDERPANTS!

With an emphasis on the latter!

Sandra, I've started drinking Diet Cherry Coke....does that count?

Well... Two rounds of Skip-Bo later...

And we listened to the first disc of the "Dreamgirls" soundtrack.  Yes, this is a two-gay household.

Well, I'll start by putting away all the Christmas decorations.  And, following the lead of DR Cillaliz, I've been working on preliminary preparations for a conference/vacation trip for DH Richard and myself: Washington, DC, June 23-July 1, for the American Library Association Annual Conference.

I find that this time of year, if I have something to look forward to - like my trip to New York - my spirits are a lot higher.  I  often decide on certain plans, change my mind, change it back etc....I know I've really made up my mind when I buy a ticket.  It's very frustrating to people who don't know I do that....

Anyway, I have my plane tickets, my hotel reservations and a ticket to CURTAINS the first night I'm there.  I'm actually considering not getting other tickets until I get there.  There just isn't anything I'm dying to see.  Although, I got an email for a discount on Spring Awakening through mid or late March....so it's tempting...

I felt exactly the same way about Jamie Foxx. For me, he was distinctly mediocre, much apart from some of the amazing things other people in the cast were doing around him.

He should feel VERY lucky that RAY happened for him. I've never felt he was a particularly gifted actor.

I'm also spending time at work organizing, cleaning out my desk, and catching up on all the little things that have been on the back burner.  I went back to the office for a couple hours tonight and plan to work over the weekend. Being organized also lifts my spirits

I finished up disc 5 of CSI tonight (which contains the rest of the Season 6 episodes; disc 6 is all special features). The last two episodes dealt with the shooting of Lt. Jim Brass, the case that ended in his shooting, and his subsequent struggle to live.

The last episode, of course, contained the controversial (and for me much despised) scene with Gil and Sara revealing their on-going affair.
