...*Although, actually, I sort of like winter.  And snow.  So... Ah, well.
So do I!

I like the idea of snow, not the reality.
You are so SoCal, esteemed BK!   ;D

When I was wrangling carts during the early fall, I joked with Carol, the store manager, that it might not be a good idea to have me working the parking lot when the snows come - I'll be too tempted to flop down and make snow angels!

What are the new subdivisions built out of where everyone lives? Here it is all stucco and red-tile roofs.
Well, we've got two styles to choose from.  On the one hand, we've got double-wides.  On the other hand, we've got McMansions.

I've caught up.  Now I should get dinner started.

(Fruit salad, poached chicken breasts, rice.  Sounds boring, right?   :-\)

DR Sandra got a gift certificate to Blockbuster for Christmas. We are watching "The Producers" at our house. Well, at least I watched it until I couldn't sit any more.

I've got a headache from watching the Mummers' strut for umpteen hours.  And Fredric March's shouting in INHERIT THE WIND ain't helping matters much.

Middletown's glamour couple just returned from a sparkling Saturday evening trip to Staples.  DH Richard bought ink cartridges for his printer and I bought padded mailing envelopes, CD jewel cases, and tape for the massive dispenser I inherited from my father.

Do we know how to party or what?

Jrand, the Creature CD is the soundtrack to The Creature Wasn't Nice, which I've been discussing all week.

It would be wonderful to have the CREATURE cd within a month!

  [NEW SUBJECT]

MR BK - is this a television series you are working on?  Or is this a television show that will have only one episode?  I guess I missed where that was talked about.

I wondered if it was a series or if it just one show....or have I missed the WHOLE thing and it isn't even on TV?  8)

I guess I should stick out my hand when I make a right turn.  ;D

Has anyone here (of the female persuasion) had an ovarian cyst burst?  Well, on Friday in the wee hours of the morning, I had such a thing occur.  I distinctly remember asking DR Jed to kill me a few times, before the people at the ER could get the IV in and get some pain relief into my body.  The good news is that it should heal itself within a few days, bad news is that it remains a bit painful for those days.  So I have a few lovely prescriptions, and I'm confined to rest for the weekend.  Boy am I antsy and bored...

Good Evening!

Back from another day of workwalking the streets of New York City.  *Although, I did eventually end up doing some work during my travels...

By the time the D train made it to Columbus Circle, all I really felt like doing was walking around for a bit.  So that's what I did.  And as I was walking down 9th Ave., a friend of mine called me and asked if I could play through some music for him for an upcoming audition.  And since we were only about three blocks from each other at the time, we went ahead and decided to meet up then and there.  We headed over to Ripley-Grier, ran through the music and just had a good visit and catch-up session.  *And I have to say, the new musical material for the upcoming production of The Little Mermaid is quite good.  Those Alan Menken ballads are... well.. just... hmm.. very Alan Menken-ish.  -Which is a very good thing.  :)  *And Glenn Slater's lyrics ain't bad either.  ;)

After the impromptu coaching session, I continued walking down 8th Ave... Down to 23rd... Over to 7th Ave.. Down to 14th... Over to Union Square...

Oohh!  The Whole Foods at Union Square is now carrying gelato from Il Laboratorio del Gelato!  So... Two scoops of Tarragon with Pink Peppercorns, and one scoop of Black Mission Fig.  Both very good, and the two flavors actually complemented each other.

And then since I was down by Trader Joe's - and since there were no lines to speak of (which was a very pleasant surprise) I stopped in to both the wine shop and the regular store to pick up some supplies.

Then it was back over to 8th Ave to catch the A - which is running local this weekend - back up to 145th...

And here I am.

:)

OUCH!  I most definitely am a male.  I do not have ovaries.  But the phrase "ovarian cyst burst".... OUCH!

I reckon.

It joins the four-syllable pronunciation of the three-syllable word "jewelry" as something that torques my jaw!
