It makes me wonder if resistance is futile.

The Daleks sure think so.

I fear Der Brucer has nodded off.  That or his been distracted by something he cannot share with us.

Actually I was editing a Newsletter for the Log Cabin Republicans of California.

This is already our fourth highest posting day.  I don't know that will get up to our third highest (we're about thirty posts away) but considering it's not a "special" day of any sort, it's pretty darn amazing.

Actually, I could be wrong - we might just make it - about ten more posts in the next twenty minutes would do it.  I will be posting the notes on time, though, because I've got to get to bed.  I'm hoping tomorrow's topic will be equally as addictive as what happened today.

Perhaps some late-night denizen will accept the gauntlet and continue to post until 3 a.m. or 4 a.m.

No DakotaCelt, no Francois, no FJL - just no pun to be had.

Of course, if our five GUESTS would join us, we'd achieve our third highest posting day easily.  As it is, we may miss it by about five posts.

I wonder what the always-errant-and-truant-on-the-weekend hainsies/kimlets will think when they log on in the morning.

We may even enter the top ten in our "views" category - that one's much harder to get into to, but we're very close.

Alaska Snowman Has Some Neighbors Fuming

Al Grillo, AP
At 22-feet, Snowzilla easily catches the attention of crowds and its neighbors. This year's Snowzilla is six feet taller than its predecessor

You'll get more "views" if you don't scare the Guests :)

This was also a record day for "hits" - some other yokel was bragging last week that in one day he'd had over 2000 hits.  Wow.  Today we had (thus far) 6,300 hits.

BK, I always check DVDVerdict.com

I've never checked this out before.  I must peruse this at some later date.

Now George is gone!

Did we ever get the lowdown on just which windows got the new curtains?

No...I'm still here (a Sondheim reference!)  I put up the curtain rod over the back sliding glass door.  I still need to put up the curtain rod here in my TV/computer room and the curtain wires for my loft bedroom.  That's going to be a little trickier.

What's the difference between a "hit" and a "view"?

I'm not sure, but I think it has to do with the site and the current topic - in other words, the current topics get "views" (how many times the pages are looked at), and the discussion board in general (how many people hit the home page and various other pages on haineshisway.com) gets "hits".

The HHW "View" is sure more entertaining than the Barbara Walters' one!
