There are so many possibilities for the weekend.  The best ones involve physical exertion, but will lead to inner harmony and contentment.

That would be moving a bunch of boxes from my condo to my storage unit.  Some of them have been sitting for months...full of records, etc.

I know my spirits would be lifted from getting this task done.  And the endorphin rush alone will make it worthwhile.

Other -- more procrastinating -- possibilities involve long naps, sleeping in, and watching a ton of movies I've not yet gotten around to.

A balance might be doable.  I'll ponder it.

I'll ponder as I wander.

I spied this at the top of one of the first pages of this site:

"Please welcome Fetufgfgi, our newest member"

Okay.

Welcome.

How on earth is that name pronounced?

Italian producer Carlo Ponti dies at 94

Quote
Carlo Ponti, the Italian producer of films such as "La Strada," "Doctor Zhivago" and "Blowup" and the longtime husband of Oscar-winning actress Sophia Loren, whom he discovered as a teenager, has died. He was 94.

Ponti, who had been hospitalized for about 10 days with pulmonary complications, died Tuesday at a hospital in Geneva, Switzerland, his family said in a statement today.

During a decades-long career that reflected the rise of Italian neo-realism and the French New Wave, Ponti was a producer on more than 140 movies, including Federico Fellini's "La Strada" (with then-partner Dino De Laurentiis), Jean-Luc Godard's "Contempt," Claude Chabrol's "Bluebeard," Jacques Demy's "Lola" and Michelangelo Antonioni's "Blowup," "Zabriskie Point" and "The Passenger."

The Ponti and David Lean-produced "Doctor Zhivago," director Lean's epic 1965 romantic-drama set against the Russian Revolution, received an Oscar nomination for best picture.

Ponti also produced Vittorio De Sica's "Two Women," a 1960 Italian World War II drama that earned Loren an Oscar for best actress.

Here's a nice story of an Alabama high school production of "To Kill A Mockingbird".  The production even drew Harper Lee out of her seclusion.

Hello from Pomona. We drove through quite a dust storm to get here, then into the sun going down. We drove up a hill and town is nowhere to be seen. The retreat starts tomorrow after breakfast (which we are supposed to get on our own somewhere). There is candy and booze in my room and they have my credit card number held hostage in case I partake in any of it. I suppose I'll lost a pound or two before lunch tomorrow. It is cold here.

That is all.

On the drive here, we stopped at the same wildlife refuge I visited when I drove here to see The Brain. I bet you are suprised that I have photos!

I still hate the damned things!  But I refuse to be fashionable, as all other Upper West Siders, and walk around in public places with it glued to my ear whilst revealing to one and all my innermost secrets and furies.  I have HHW for that.

Perhaps if you walked around public places with it glued to your ear whilst talking about cheap porn; you wouldn't need the cheap porn!

I'm here...I've been here the whole time...just working away at ordering the High Demand List (generated by the number of requests placed on-line).

I need to move things from my storage unit to my condo!  I want to stop paying for it and for me to do that, I have to stop using it.  I hate it when it works that way. :P
