I had about 45 minutes before the beginning of LAW & ORDER so I pulled LOVE ME OR LEAVE ME off the shelf and watch it from the beginning. It's so good I didn't want to stop it, but I did and will resume it tomorrow.

The Closer will return June 11th. James Duff was on a conference call  with one of my producers yesterday. I got to hear most of the plot outlines for the upcoming season. Sounds great!

And "1900"---a good movie...and a good number of posts.

I think I have mentioned before that Tommy Steele was my first official crush!

I've never seen or heard Half a Sixpence.  I do have the London cast recording of Some Like It Hot (aka Sugar on Broadway) with Tommy Steele.

And I just got "1900" from Netflix.  It's on two discs...it's long.

Just can't wait for the new ones.

Also looking forward to the second season on DVD because I want to relive all of the episodes again and again.

I don't think it's a great musical, but the movie is a fun, old-fashioned musical.

LAW & ORDER guest starred Jennifer Beals as an Angelina Jolie-type actress who adopts an African baby with tragic consequences. Lots of surprising revelations in this one.

Just heard 5 gunshots down the street and called the police. I'm starting to see them buzzing around here now. Greg isn't home yet so I told him to be careful when he drives down our street!

Oh man!  I have to work on getting the snow blower started tomorrow. We're supposed to have our first REAL snow of the season this weekend.  Last time it was forecast I tried to start it and it was dead.   Let's see, check spark plug, new gas new oil...should do it...

Well...it's past time for me to go home, so I'm going home (a Rocky Horror Show reference). ;D

"Ghost Whisperer" has already started, but I'm recording it.  I'll get home before "Las Vegas" (with Josh Duhamel :-*...guilty pleasure!) starts at 9:00.

I've decided to start my 'new office' fund.  I may not leave this job, but if I do, I want to go back out on my own again and it will take a while to save up. I thought about it before and talked about it before, but wasn't that serious about it. The way it is at the office now, I need to have that option available to me in a real way.

I used to hear gunshots on the weekends occasionally before the city's "ethnic cleansing" wiped out the homes of my Mexican neighbors. They liked to shoot the dumpsters behind the apartments or shoot their guns in the air. I was always afraid a stray one would come through the woods because it would have hit our house! They celebrate the weekend a little differently than we do!

That is a danger, Edisaurus. A girl was killed here several years ago when a celebratory gunshot fired into the air hit her.

Meet me in freelance world! You will iive longer and happier!

I had my own office for almost 10 years before I started this job. I had a part time secretary, but did all the rest myself. I was living at the lake then, so the practice was limited by the small population, but was successful. I wanted to move and I didn't want to try to start doing this 'cold' in a new place, so when this job came up, I applied, closed my office and moved here.  I've lived her 5 1/2 years now. I have a good reputation and a lot of people know me. I do miss practicing in state court, juvenile court and doing whatever happens to come in the office, which I could have back again.  I think I'm ready to do it now, but I need  the reserve of cash so I can keep going until some $$ comes in.

eBay, here I come...lol

My partner's wife left her law job with a record company when a merger eliminated many jobs. She now has more work than she can handle.
