Of course, there are so many different Nutcracker productions, and each one has an Act One Scene Two Waltz of the Snowdlakes![move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]

It's a foggy day in Philly town.

Still no snow in the forcast.  No one has promised me nine inches!

Good morning. I didn't have to get up early today, but the cats thought I should. As I lay in bed before sunrise I heard snowblowers so I decided to jump out of bed and go clear the driveway with my new toy snowblower.

I thought it was cold out there, but I'm glad I didn't look until I got done and was back in the house. It was actually -2 with a windchill of -25!

It was fun clearing out the driveway. Now I am curled up in the recliner with a blanket. I'm sort of catching a cold. I'm hoping I can fight it off

Boston is going to be COLD the day of our screening. High of 20, low of 16. I hope it doesn't keep people from venturing out for opening night!

...Now all that needs to happen is the painting.  My sister picked out the color of the paint and has some left over.

I do hope it isn't Barbie Pink.  It's such a hard color to get to match the upholstery in most living rooms.

"Baby, It's Cold Outside" is a pop standard with words and music by Frank Loesser. The female voice in the song is called "The Mouse" and the male "The Wolf."

My favorite version is the Johnny Mercer one, (with Margaret Whiting as the mouse?)

So, today I see my barber, and  then I shall visit Ben and Anthony to celebrate laast month's holidays.

And your new haircut!

Do you record in a virtual studio?

Good morning!

It's overcast, and I believe we got a sprinkle of rain during the night, but it couldn't have been much. It's the last of our spring days today with a high predicted of 72. Then, we begin the stead drop in temperatures throughout the week.

But it's been grand while it lasted.

In re: The Frozen Pipes...

One of the other cashiers at work pulled a leg muscle recently.  He applied some IcyHot to the sore area, washed his hands, and then decided to take a leak.

Funny thing.  IcyHot doesn't wash off all that easily.

(I'll leave the rest to your imaginations.   ::))

Another jam-packed evening of TV:

'24' continues with its next two hours.

The CBS line-up of comedies and CSI: MIAMI is all new.

The GOlden Globe Awards occupy NBC's entire prime time line-up.

I'll be recording the Globes so I can speed through and just see the winners and listen to the speeches I want to hear. This worked well last year, and I will do it again tonight.

I have from last night GREASE, CROSSING JORDAN, WITHOUT A TRACE, and EXTRAS on the DVR. I couldn't record the HD broadcast of ROME last night due to two other programs recording at the same time, but I'll look to get one of the subsequent HD broadcasts this week recorded. This means I may not get to it until mid-week.

Good Morning!

Re: "Baby, It's Cold Outside" - This may have been brought up before, but did anyone catch the new documentary about about Frank Loesser that was recently broadcast on PBS?  I thought it was very well done.  There was a segment about "Baby, It's Cold Outside".  It was sort of sad finding out how the song had gone from a very personal "party trick" of sorts, to a song that Frank Loesser grew un-fond of.

Nice, sunny day here in Rehoboth.

When do we get winter this year???

As for the Topic of the Day...

-I'm not fully awake yet, but here's my list as is it stands at this time and time and this point of consciousness.  ;)

"Cinema Paradiso" - The three-hour director's cut.  -Although, the shorter theatrical release ain't bad either.  But since I'm on a desert island, I might as well have a long(er) movie to occupy my time.

"Longtime Companion"

"The Color Purple"

"Singin' In The Rain"

"Like Water For Chocolate"

I'd love to see that Frank Loesser biography. I had no idea he grew to dislike "Baby" especially since it earned him an Oscar. Since the Tonys weren't generous to him as a songwriter, I think he'd be thrilled with this major award for his efforts.

Watching RIO RITA yesterday made me want to watch DIXIANA again. I have it on DVD, but finding the time to squeeze it in with so many other things waiting would be a problem.
