I guess I'm in the mood for Amoeba - get this trade material out of here, and maybe get a new DVD to watch tonight.

Scrubs people are singing...Vixdad is calling..... laters!

I didn't see all of it, but I really enjoyed what I did see, which was about 1/2 of the show

Which reminds me...  For those DRs in the NYC-area...

I have a crate of LPs - mainly OCRs and classical rep - which I've been meaning to get rid of.  Any suggestions for a good vinyl shop in town?  -I'm not looking to make any (real) money from them, just that they go to a good home.

DR Jose, we need to male a trip to West 72nd Street ASAP!

Well... Since I missed the start of the series... I guess I may have track those down.  I was expecting Delta Burke - at least from the eyes.  8)

You can watch all episodes on ABC.com? CBS.com?  I know it isn't NBC.com!

The SCRUBS musical was fun and Mariska Hargitay's husband is on 30 ROCK.

Bruce-I appreciate the eBay info & link and will try it tomorrow.

FJL, is there nothing you can take for your cough just before the concert begins?  Load up on cough drops too.  If the ticket will be wasted anyway, go & leave if the cough becomes a problem.  I suspect you will be okay.

Matt H- thanks for good news regarding THE CLOSER.

I like cake...if it's soft and gooey...not that densely packed, triple chocolately chocolate stuff.  But what I really like and what I used to have on all my birthdays in LA is House of Pies' coconut cream pie, topped with whipped cream , not meringue.  Yum!

I'm not even a pie lover, but House of Pies coconut cream IS TO DIE FOR!

DRs, my Dad has pneumonia, and they fear the cancer has progressed to his lungs.  I just spoke to him, he's weak and he will have a "procedure" tomorrow to drain his lungs (oy!).  I think he could use all the vibes you can send toward Ohio.

Thanks.

My very best to you dad, DR Elmore.

Dear Esteemed, prolific, pulchritudinous, and published BK --

   I Have Returned.............. Yea!!

As you know, I was not being a prodigal son, or a sonigal prod, but rather had some computer challenges.  I am happy to report that the nimble and pixie-like Mr. M. Bakalor diagnosed it, resolved it, and sent me the solution, all withing about 45 minutes!

Good to have you back with us, MUSIC GUY!!

Lots of WB musicals on TCM tonight.  I haven't seen some of them.  So I shall be watching....or listening at least.

MY NAME IS EARL - a very touching episode, that speaks to many people in the USA, I am sure.

Chaos and revelation on THE OFFICE.

An ethical question:  While I feel great otherwise, my cough is lingering.   But I have a ticket to see the Kristin Chenoweth concert at the Met tomorrow night and really want to see it.  But I'm sure that my cough may annoy other patrons.  Do I go and enjoy the concert, or would etiquette require that I not go in order to spare  the people around me the annoyance of hearing a semi-persistent cough, or at the very least, a consistent onslaught of cough drops during the performance?

I have found Ricola cough drops to be very effective. I'd go, armed with a whole bag, and if it gets too bad just excuse yourself.

Well, Ladies and Gentleman, I believe we have a plan!  After chatting with Steve earlier... Since I need and want to get my stuff out of storage in Richmond... And since Steve's been wanting to get back up to NYC for his sort-of-annual winter trip to the Big Apple...  I shall be renting the truck and packing it up on Tuesday, the 30th.  Driving it up to Fairfax that afternoon, and staying there that night.  Then up to NYC Wednesday afternoon.  And Steve will be be helping me load up the truck and be my second set of eyes on the road!  -Then since JetBlue is still running those crazy fares, he'll be flying back to Richmond that weekend for only $29(!?!?!?!?!?).

-And I just made the truck reservation online too!

:)

*And I'll be heading down to Fairfax next week mid-week to care of a bunch of the ''pre-packing" and purging.

It's nice having a plan.

Thanks for the cough drop advice, and to take a dose of soemthing right before the concert starts.  I'm on an aisle, so if it becomes real bad, i can just escape, I hope inconspicuously.

Jose - so glad you can use the extra ticket.  Happy whatever - there's always something to celebrate.  (And the extra ticket is not right next to me, so Jose doesn't have to worry about catching my cough.)

Dear Friends Julie and Milla will be there also, but somehow we're all sitting separately.

I did beging the evening by watching an episode from the first season of BONES. It was the one set in New Orleans with Temperence being suspected of the murder of a clinic doctor. An exciting and somewhat gruesome episode with voodoo and the like figuring into the solution.

Since we had talked about it earlier this week, I took BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S off the shelf and watched the first 40 minutes of it. Always wonderful to revisit this classic.

UGLY BETTY had a lovely episode as Betty shows her loving thoughtfulness for her boss. Nothing remotely sexual, just a wonderful, kind friend doing something nice for someone in pain. What a beautiful gesture, especially with all the treachery going on all around them.

And that final revelation was something GREAT! Loved it!
