TOD:

All the books I would want to have on my island would be books I have not yet read. I would take along several Perry Mason novels, several "The Cat Who...." novels, assorted bios and autobios, and those funny "Bad Cats" and "Bad Dogs" books so I would have something to make me laugh.

Jane, go to eBay advanced search (usually at the top of any page). When you are taken to that page, look at the task bar over to the left. It has a clickable link to look up sellers and buyers.

Re: "American Idol" -- I'd give a pretty to know how much money the "Idol" producers pay those woebegone contestants who are set up for national humiliation.

Surely there's a stipend for the ridiculing, belittling and assassinating thrust upon those sorry folks.

Yes, that was a nice touch -- especially after the outbursts of ego from so many of the untalented -- also the gal in the pink "net" that Simon said made her look sunburned. She was out there laughing with her friends afterward, admitting that her nerves got the best of her on the high notes, and that she hoped she was better than her audition or either her friends had been lying to her (and she really didn't have an awful audition, seemed nerves got a few of her notes but parts weren't that bad either -- she was poetry compared to "Red"...) -- but she came across as a good sport.

I concur with DR Rodzinski's assessment of last night's "Medium."

I like this cast immensely, and nothing on TV matches the family dynamic...WHEN the family is actually interacting.

Last night....well....I knew murder had been done after her first dream. When I saw the flashback of the boy with the older man and the "lad", I knew instantly who that the "lad" was and what had probably happened.

I wasn't bored...but I certainly wasn't challenged.

What bent me out of shape, however, was the ending. If they're going to let us figure everything out before Allison does, how come we don't at least get to see the murderer's comeuppance?

oh, and is it just me, or can they put a sign on the correct exit door already -- or better yet, move that production assistant sitting in that hair over a few feet to block the locked portion and let her point to the unlocked side as they head out? I guess the producers found that funny watching the losers lose their last shread of dignity stuggling with the locked door -- but it got old real quick. Isn't there some guidline/rule in comedy about using a running gag up to three times, and after that it ain't funny no more?

Well, I was just "passing on" the caption that was listed in the original article. -Although, I have seen Mr. Tune walking around NYC recently, and I'd have to say, Yes, that's him in the pic. -And probably "standing" on his knees.

No, it's not just you. Simon apparently got a kick saying, "The 'other' door."

This has never been part of the audition ordeal before. In Minneapolis, it was a fluke. In Seattle it was a "planned thing."
