Well, you've read the notes, the notes had some mighty fine fettle, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they'll be home just as soon as they find their fettles.

Goodnight, I'm tired because a very good friend kept me up very late last night and just would not let me sleep!

Good morning, all!  Yesterday was a long day in Toyland, and today will be the same.  Tom Murray arrived safely from Chicago - I'll tell him you're enjoying the Flaherty/Stein show, DR George - and we edited three numbers from THE LADY OF THE SLIPPER.  Today we may get through four, although I doubt we will finish Act One this weekend.

Beyond that, I have nothing to say.  Absolutely nothing.

Wayne Maunder was Custer - and Fox took money out of his salary for fixing his teeth.  When his agent objected, they relented.  He ended up with a flop series and nice choppers.

Good morning all!

Since i am not sure if i will get to post later, i thought i'd comment on what i will watch on tv tonight.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and BROTHERS & SISTERS are repeats (after only 1 or 2 new episodes???).  So i guess i will watch NBC tonight.

We have the first live show of GREASE YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT (starting at 7pm). And then APPRENTICE.  I may also watch or record STUDIO 60 (which we get sundays).

I will be curious how the voting goes for GREASE. Not just who people will vote for. But how the voting occurs. Is it a limited number of phone calls. Is there internet voting?

Sunday.  Thirteen degrees.

Baby Sonja is a delight - and in at least one movie she played TWO characters because people just couldn't get enough of Baby Sonja.  She was cute - but wore too much lipstick for a preteen.

Here is Baby Soniya in the Bollywood version of THE PARENT TRAP, sent to me by DR MBARNUM.  It is a very good film.

She of course grew up to be Neetu Singh - the Bollywood Ginger Rogers to Rishi Kapoor - the Bollywood Fred Astaire.

"Ginger" married "Fred" in what must have been the Bollywood version of a wedding - in 1979, and Neetu retired at age 21!

I had no idea Sonya or Sonja or Soniya was such a bright light.  Thanks for the info.

DR MBARNUM have you ever seen the website BOLLYCAT?

It is a Pakistani site that points out Bollywood films that have "borrowed" plots from US films.   ;D

Good Morning!

Well... I have to say, I'm liking my dad's new flat panel TV - even though it took me a few minutes to realize that it had to warm up before it turned on-on.  And, I had forgotten just how comfortable the living-room couch is here...  I ending up falling asleep sometime last night, and just woke up about an hour ago.

Good morning!

It's supposed to get cloudy later, but it certainly is beautiful outside now: not a cloud in the sky. Felt warmer than I expected it to as well. TOmorrow we dip back into cold temperatures for much of the week. Today should be lovely.

Watched the men's free skate last night.  Very satisfied with the results...although I might have switched the third and fourth place finishers.

I'm looking forward to watching the men's skating that Irecorded last night. I saw who won on the internet this morning, and his performance was described as "the skate of a lifetime," so I'm looking forward to seeing it.

And the winner ended up 30 points ahead of his next competitor. This one was the opposite of the ladies' competition which was decided by less than a point.

Otherwise today, I'll be with Charlie Chan at the races and with Lily Mars on Broadway.

Like DR Jennifer, I'll be watching the GREASE show (it does begin an hour earlier than usual.) At 9, I'll switch to ROME and then at 10, a new CROSSING JORDAN (and I'll record EXTRAS.)

DR MBarnum - On yesterday's morning's "Weekend Today" show, they did a segment on a theatre complex in North Bergen County (New Jersey) that shows Bollywood movies.  I just tried finding a link to the story on the Today Show site, but couldn't find anything.  However, I did come across this story - which might be a good reason for you to head back east sooner rather than later:

Curtain may soon come down on oasis of Bollywood in N.J.

DR Jennifer, January never offers us a complete month of new episodes of shows. Networks must save new shows for the ratings sweeps months of February and May, so we only get an occasional new episode during January, March, and April. It's been like that as long as I can remember.

And the word of the day is: MAUNDER!
Lucy, Ethyl, and the other women living in the apartment building loved to meet in the washroom downstairs, so that they could MAUNDER while they laundered.

Sunday morning greetings!  It's a bright winter day here in SW Ohio, with snow flurries.  I had a nice sleep-in ('til after 8am).

When I got home from work yesterday, DH Richard and I installed our new DVD/VCR, ordered a pizza, and watched our first movie, Shadowlands, using the new set-up.  It was nice to sit in the comfy chairs in the family room, instead of at the dining room table (where we had to sit to watch a DVD on Richard's computer).
