Well, you've read the notes, the notes had both hindsight and a frying pan, and now it is time for you to post until the twenty twenty cows come home.

Well, it's the ATTACK OF THE WUSSBURGERS so perhaps I'll toddle off to the bedroom environment.

TOD: Serial killer Ted Bundy, since it was sort of close to home.

The summer when all the young boys were getting murdered in Atlanta---I wasn't fascinated by it, but you couldn't avoid it. I almost hated to watch the news or read the paper because it seemed like it was happening every other day. That was a horrible time around here.

BK, I have 4 hard drives, all filled up with media from various projects. I am going to try and find space to back up onto somehting, and then try the new OS. If it doesn't work with my editing program, I will reinstall the old 10.2.8.

Argh. I can't beleive this is all happening because I wanted to play ONE SONG that someone else downloaded from itunes.

I just read that Susan Egan has delivered a fine, bouncy, belting baby girl!

Congrats to the happy family!

The baby has been named Nina.

I think the Charles Mason family is intresting and I read a lot about it when the first Helter Skelter movie aired on TV. Has this version ever been released on DVD?

Good morning, all!  I feel better today than yesterday, and I have a full day of errands:  a morning at Toyland with Mr Murray on edits and then a trek to Real Music to work on Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA.

When I return, I have around 4 more envelopes of receipts to tally.  Last year, on Feb 14th, I went to  the Philly Pops rehearsal and I can find neither the train receipt nor a credit card receipt to prove that I went.  Oy!

TOD:  I have two cases that still fascinate me: Lizzie Borden and Jack the Ripper.

I'm listening to Donald's great show this week. It's about dissenting opinions. Critics who disliked something that was considered a critical hit. Good stuff.

Hmmmm......my regret about HOLLYWOODLAND is the same as MR BK's...it keeps a good film from being made on the subject.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Speaking of which, did you catch Charles Isherwood's piece in the New York Time concerning his opinion of the latest Tom Stoppard epic, The Coast of Utopia?

As for the Topic of the Day...

The Harvey Family Murder last year in Richmond.  It affected me more than I ever would have thought.

And since I did Assassins in college, the stories of Squeaky Fromme and Sara Jane Moore caught my interest for a while.

I've never been overly interested in any true-life crime that I can think of at the mo'.  The Simpson trial couldn't be avoided to the point where I became sick and tired of it.  I did read HELTER SKELTER, more out of an interest of the origins of the dangerous but incompetent Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme than anything else.  And someday I'd like to read more about the Borgias.  But that's about the extent of my interests.

Looks like both DR Jose and I are "Squeaky" Fromme fans.  Someday I'll have to post a picture of one of the "Squeaky" buttons a friend and I made in high school--they really squeaked when they were squeezed.

Thursday morning greetings!  Back at work after my surprise vacation day yesterday, which actually turned out quite well.  DS Rob made a spur-of-the-moment visit and I'd have missed him if I'd been at work.  On his way back to Cincinnati, we were all able to have dinner with my mother and my sister and her husband (who are spending a few days with Mom on their way from Michigan to Florida).

Travel vibes to DR Jose - have fun in Memphis!

I did watch INHERIT THE WIND last night--sort of a crime drama.  A terrific movie, though I think Stanley Kramer was a bit heavy handed.  And Lord!--Spencer Tracey!  Has there been anyone like him since?  He was the A-grade, top choice, prime sirloin steak of an actor!

And the word of the day is: INVIOLABLE!
Casey would waltz
With a strawberry blonde
But that was as far as he got
Because she remained otherwise INVIOLABLE.

No, really.  She was into the whole virgin thing, right down to the chastity belt.  Danged if I know how she was able to dance wearing that thing, but that's the way she insisted on living.

My bet is, the belt chafed.

I'm still waiting for the results from last Sunday's visit at the store from the two possible robbers.  My bet is, I'll get more closings on Sundays, simply to have me there on staff.

How's that for TOD.

In Cold Blood -- Truman Capote

My interest in true crime cases is not the fascination with the gore/the crime itself, but the motivation of the killers.  What makes these guys and gals tick?  The nature vs. nuture element of them and their crimes.
