Jose, I don't see the funny in that story; I just see the scary part. That is really really scary.

Well, whatever sauce is called when it's made with sausage, mine was GOOD!  I put it over mostaccioli and had steamed broccoli on the side.  And it made enough that I have dish for another night in the refrigerator.

I also find the frostbite story scary.

I must remember to check my toes after hiking in the cold wearing my tennis shoes instead of my boots.  My feet do tend to get very, very cold when I get lazy and don't wear my boots.

Dear BK and Dear Readers,

What is your iPod's name? I had to give mine a name when I was installing it. The computer's suggestion was Sandra's iPod, which I found incredibly boring. So I named it Artaxerxes.

Also, what color is your iPod? Artaxerxes is blue.

My iPod's name is Nonexistent.

Oh, and he's transparent.

Fish Feet - I think that is the aquatic version of Chicken Fingers.

But even less appetizing.

People laugh at me when I go outside in the winter, I have my hat on, my scarf wrapped around my face so you can only see my eyes, my big coat, gloves and my boots. (You can't see my cuddl duds, but they are there too).  People chuckle but I'm warm

The sidewalks were very "interesting".  Since there was still stuff falling from the skies, "they" were not required to clear off the sidewalks yet.  So, walking around midtown required some big steps and good balance.  I saw more than one person slip on the slush.  Of course, the cars were driving as if there nothing on the roads - lots of spinning wheels.

Oh, yes, the sidewalks and streets here were quite interesting as well. I watched a neighbor try to negotiatie the turn into his driveway, time after time, while spinning his wheels in the snow. He was patient and eventually made it. It took many, many tries.

Back from the workshop of, well, I don't know what.  It was, perhaps, in all my years of attending musical workshops the single worst piece of crap I've ever seen.  I sat there with mouth agape, as did most of the audience of about fifty people, most of whom were close personal friends of the writer/producers and the director, which means the median age of the audience was seventy-five.

I'll have plenty to say in the notes because I must vent, oh, yes, I must vent.  Jessica was excellent, as always.  For the producer/writers and the director I say what I usually have to say after seeing this kind of thing:  Do you have a POINT?  If so, wouldn't it be nice to let the audience in on it?

Has there ever been a play called FUNNY-PECULIAR?  If not, there should be.

Sure enough, there's a 2007 movie listed on imdb called FUNNY PECULIAR, starring none other than Rip Torn and Betty Buckley.

A Follies transfer would be great but I don't know if it will happen. There is talk of a limited run transfer if Nathan and Matthew don't go back into The Producers. They could use the Saint James until Young Frankenstein is ready. But that would mean doing without Donna Murphy and she was stellar in this production. The money it would cost to mount even a limited run is so much that I don't know if any producer would take on the project. If they do a full, open-ended production I hope they realize that it can't be a stripped down (technically) version like Chicago. Follies needs a full-out, to the hilt production. A 5 night concert version is one thing but for this show to have any kind of draw other than we hard core fans, it's got to have some opulence.

My worry about Sunday in the Park is that Roundabout is behind it. If they are just acting as an agent and putting it their house (I do strongly dislike Studio 54, it's a bad theatre space, even though that's what it was built for oh, so many years ago) I will feel better but if they have a strong hand in producing it I worry. Roundabout productions are so hit and miss, usually miss. The successes almost seem to be in spite of the theatre. I still wince at their production of Follies from 2001. Still, it will be nice to have this production in New York.

As you can tell, I have mixed feelings  ;)

Ben - Why would a summer run for FOLLIES necessarily have to be without Donna Murphy?  Is LOVEMUSIK actually an open-ended run, or just the usual Biltmore Theatre limited run?

Comments from tonight's top 24 AMERICAN IDOL.

SPOILERS.

*
*

I"m not sure what i thought of the show. But i guess i liked it better than last night. If only because they showed everyone who went through's Hollywood audition. Granted not the group numbers. But we at least got to see them sing.

It still bugs me that i have never seen over half of the 24 people.  And most of the ones i have seen, i have to try to remember their stories from their original auditions (the back-up singer melinda, the guy whose wife had a baby ...). I know i liked them then. But it's been so long.

I just wish they could have shown them throughout the hollywood week so we could see if they improved.

I was disappointed with the last woman cut. Not too fond of who stayed.  I was happy that melinda (back-up singer went through). And also the beat box guy. And the guy whose wife had a baby.

I feel really bad for those who nobody knows. They are really going to suffer against people like sundance who everyone already knows.

I was trying to figure out that timeline too.  LoveMusik is a limited run, so... Unless that's an indication on how soon prospective producer(s) want to get the production mounted.  Striking while the iron - and buzz - is still hot.

I didn't finish my entire dinner, as it was a bit too spicy - that's very abnormal of me not to finish my entire dinner.
