SPOILER

Really?  If true, it really is the best thing that could happen to her.

Perhaps, in time, she will think so, too.  I did get, from her screen comments, that she really wanted the part...and I'm sure the exposure didn't hurt her, either.

Auditions, IIRC, are tough enough in any venue.  Professional auditions must be murder.  This show rather bowdlerizes the process in the name of entertainment.

I think it will be interesting to see -- at the end -- whether the process turns out a hit show.

Maybe I'll just read the spoilers instead of watching the show. It will be quicker that way.

Exactly what I'm doing.  The show doesn't air here for another hour and 5 minutes.

I have no intention of paying attention to it, even though I may leave it on as background while I iron or something preparatory to "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers and Sisters."

And who is that twit British slag?

Not having seen any of the show as yet, I'm curious as to whether this man might not be the "producer" who is financing the show.  If it is, he's the one, along with Lord Lloyd Webber, did the TV show in the U.K. to find a Maria and then produced the current West End production of "The Sound of Music" with the public's choice.

He is very wry.  I'm very taken with Drew Barrymore, as an actress.  Was she any good in it?

And now for something completely different:

The gorgeous weather we've been having -- and "heavenly" is the best word to describe it -- is now manifesting its dark side.  To wit, my physiological response to the breezes and the pollens borne upon them.

My sinuses are wrecked and my nasal passages are aflame.

Relief is in the future:  The weather forecasters all call for colder temps and rain after tomorrow and Tuesday.

BK the reason there are so few GREASE posts is because tonight is the premiere of the AMAZING RACE ALLSTARS.  And most of us who like reality shows prefer AMAZING RACE. I know that is what i was watching.

I'm not going to post any spoilers about TAR until tomorrow since many have not yet seen it. But let me just say it was such a great first show!

I also predict that GREASE will lose a lot of its audience to the emmy winning AMAZING RACE.

GREASE spoilers

I didn't watch but i did see who the bottom 2 girls were at the TAR break. It was kathleen and juliana. OMG, is america nuts? They were 2 of my top 3.

I did however notice they were doing duets. Smart move. There is no way to pick a danny and sandy unless we can see their chemistry.  I will say this though, if you get stuck with the wrong partner it could be really bad!

That sad i will probably watch GREASE later tonight or tomorrow just to see how everyone did.

Btw, the judges apparently had to choose between kathleen and juliana. I'm not surprised they chose juliana since they really did not seem to like her (either that or they really just could not see her in the role of sandy). I'll be interested to see what they said and if it was unanimous.

They also failed to learn one of the first lessons of intellectual freedom:  the more a work is censored the more demand will increase.  Want to get kids to read a particular book?  Just tell them they can't!  The same principle even played out here in Cincinnati over the Mapplethorpe exhibit:  the show had record attendance and the Contemporary Art Center broke all records that year for new and renewing memberships.

I used to work with an interesting woman named Marge, who let her kids use any words they wished, but with two exceptions: they were not allowed to say "ugly" or "stupid." So what did her kids say when they were mad? You guessed it: "ugly" or "stupid." And, I expect, "Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" (they'd love The Brain, wouldn't they?)

In the early 1970s, the 20th Century political climate in America rasslabilsa so that the large cities (such as New York or Los Angeles, for example) gradually began to appear, and even to print advertising porno-kinoteatra first.

Initially, it showed a harmless current standards with lots of naked "actresses" and strongly sexual acts, but closer to the 80th people had already "out" to the that the boat has fully hardcore-porno.

.Softcore'ne films start 70th were often kill wild names (such as "I Chebanov bus.")) And cheap products when routine it is not able to stop the camera even if the "actor" is the directing board for all these points without any installation were ready to film

For perezjemka or serious the mounting cost money, but why spend money when the people and so trees look at the naked teles starletok (a "story" and a "game" that the public is not interested).

Nasmotrevshisi such "masterpieces", a young and talented; Bruce Kimmel planned to do parody of the film by deleting "porno-muzikl.";; spoke about the idea that some of their friends who instantly come to ecstasy and steel working with them to project.

During the preparatory period, but, the concept of the film gradually evolved, and instead of "softporno-muzikla" the authors decided to make "a film about the film, "obstebav" not only porn genre, but also low-cost film with the dogmas brodweiskyi musicals :)

The young owner of a small studio father, Garry Danny is on the verge of collapse. Recent his picture is a successful, money it does not have Investors nacedaut and pose condition, "or you prinoshishy us zolotonosnuu idea or we for debts draw you studio and building on that site a shopping mall. "

In such extreme cases, the brain is working intensively, and Harry Superior great idea-it must withdraw porno-muziklInvestors initially did not express much enthusiasm, but a young man in paints and details raspisal them as a wonderful all his works, and what grand success is the project is that it will be the first such film kind!

G8, starikana agreed to muffled last chance, but immediately put draconian conditions : the first half of money they invest and half a boyfriend in debt; the second film to be the nephew of one of the investors; and third, the movie should be withdrawn for two weeks and not a day more!

Choose from Harry has been, and he agreed. The tapping was more than motley audience, "producer" is zacompleksovanny duzoguztitrehletny devstvennik, and the music and songs for the "picture" sochinalici elderly writing directly on the film site ... What all this ugliness come-see movie :)

IT is a huge tribute to the talent Bruce Kimmela-as a matter of fact, he only nets the full picture, and his courage can be compared with another young giving the time-Malom Brooks, in the seven years before that placed great comedy in a similar topic entitled Producers" (The Producers (1968)). Bruce, as Brooks not only wrote great script and became
ko-regisserom picture, but also played a great role John Smiti (name Smithee has much to say amateurs and connoisseurs cinema ...;)) , and also wrote the music and songs for the picture (if it truly is a man versatile talents)!

.Thanks to the efforts of Kimmela, the film turned out to be very funny, unusual entertainment and excellent sparodiroval many "backstage" moments of entertainment, Eye inaccessible normal viewer. "Particularly hard won, of course, the production of low budget pictures, which is not merely knew Kimmel, for the film and nizkobujetnuu picture (producer originally allocated to 125,000 dollars) :) "How to become a film?" - have to do is to be nephew and the son of one of the producers. Where do I find artists?" -

Dai announcement in the newspapers, and very soon at the door of tge studio will be a motley crowd, which can be meet and beginner pornozvezd and modest Shy girls from the province with great dream "conquer Hollywood." "Where do I find the composer?" - - just call her old friend, and ask him to write music for the film, which he would directly on the film site at lunch dubleami.

How razbushevavshuusa silence at the site" Star "? - is not that complicated, just answer reciprocate its harassment :) "What to Do if "director" - duzoguztitrehletny devstvennik, which knows little about the film in general, and the production of films in particular? "- try, that he had as little time as possible at the site, as often as possible, send it to the store for doughnuts, and the top will zavalena entire studio-sprovadte it to "rewrite scenario" in a brothel ... "

Finally, what to do when, in the hearts you dismissed capriznuu "star" on the last day of filming, and should be removed a few important scenes "is the most simple, because Jesus cameras and do everything himself, But you have in this business a long time and know the routine ...;)

As you can see, make low-cost movie is not easy, but as with the answers to most of the production you have already seen, you can safely begin to create their own masterpieces, but at the end. Finally, the same so fun! Indeed, the film turned out to be a very tight and managed with huge number of obnjenki and uper-musicialnami numbers like "Lesbian, Butch, Dyke" "Orgasm", "Perversion" and, of course, shedevralnam "Dancing Dildos! :) At least for the sake of "Dancing Dildos", the film is worthwhile to see and it is not the numbers that there are many interesting ... ;);)

Despite its obvious creative success lending fate lies picture is not an easy task. .Even during the course of the movie has been signed by Paramount studio for a wide release of the tape to the States. During the production and installation studio has been very happy with the result, but ... .It tolled descended from heaven is one of the main stars of the picture, Cindy Williams, was removed in a popular "family" Paramount TV Networks "Laverne & Shirley" and the studio decided that its participation n "The First Nudie Musical" adversely affect the ratings of the show and the image of the Paramount.

Old as the world history, the Indeed it does not come as a surprise But simply "get rid" of the picture studio could not because had to perform contractual obligations for rent and distribution movie. As a result, Paramount has "to keep" - without any press-pokazov (that there is no reviews in the press, of course), and advertising a film onto screens founder smaller towns of America, not ridden picture of the big cities and major towns.

However, even with a "stretch" movie noticed, and the tape to distributors money. But it outraged Bruce Kiel, speaking in the press, open-treatment in the management of Paramount and demanded proper treatment for their child, all the more so because the audience was clearly excited about the picture.

Pass it is the fact that Paramount sold the rights to the film back to the authors, thus getting rid of "unwanted" picture in its catalog and allowing Kimelu do with the tape, that he wishes. And he wanted to find another distributor, which will soon organized and dignified advertising DVDs and the film company int he States.

And this of course has its own rewards for the picture no only duirng THREE MONTHS succesfully benn in the theater of New York, a few weeks was in the national tour boks-ofida the fifth position (!), which had been caught in the company of such mastodon rentals, as "Star Wars" and "The Spy Who Loved Me."

Jörg success of the picture was there, and he was, of course, the fact that the film is very funny and ridiculous, working and how lousy comedy, and as a successful parody, porn, music and film as a whole.

.It was expected, and the fact that with the passage of time, the film has acquired resistant cult status and many new fans picture seen at the video.Anyone who likes a good fake, funny comedy moreover, would like to see a variety of naked female corporal - welcome to "The First Nudie Musical"! ...Parents remove from the screen children ... ;);)

Rating - 5

Memorial quotations :

][referring to the Provincial shy girl tapped]

?Harry Danny : Well, I hope you will understand that you have to keep bare, it will be for you properly?
.Female : Well yes, of course, it will be fine. .Only if I do not have to undress ...
