For those who knew about my presentation this past Thursday, it went quite well with many questions. I did a presentation on computer-mediated communites. They include message boards, chat rooms and fansites.

Glad to hear the presentation went well, DAKOTA CELT. Who was your audience?

to go feed my friend's dogs for the evening.
Will you be feeding each one individually, kibble by kibble?  :)

Duncan Sheik played the guitar for the performance, so he was about 6 feet from my chair.

Now that would be cool. :)

I began the afternoon by finishing BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN and weeping through the last 15 minutes rather copiously. Always gets to me.

Next, I put in BONES and watched the season finale. I knew I couldn't start a movie this afternoon because I was expecting several phone calls, and didn't want to get engrossed in a movie I had never seen before.

A girl came in today to buy a deck of tarot cards.  She said she wanted the Canoli Deck and it took awhile to figure out that it was the Connelly Deck she wanted.

But she thinks she has the Canoli Deck.

Well, canoli can be quite delicious. Or is that a different spelling?

When I get back from my errand tending to the dogs, I'll watch FIRE ON THE PLAINS.

I see that POSEIDON is premiering on HBO-HD tonight. I will probably have the DVR record that since I didn't see it in theaters or rent it on DVD. Won't have time to watch it until probably tomorrow afternoon or evening.

I must now be going.  My sister is having the family over to her house for dinner in about an hour...even though I just ate. ::) So, I'll be there for the afternoon/evening.  Have a good day, all! :D

Gratuitous.

I see that DR SINGDAW is back. We/I must not have been too hard on him yesterday, after all.

Good to have you back, DR SINGDAW.

We have lots of kinds here at HHW. Makes it interesting. Do you know we're called Hainsies/Kimlets or H/Ks?

SINGDAW, you said yesterday that you have much of the Kritzerland catalog. Did you know BK from other venues? If not, how did you first learn about Kritzerland?

Yes, the creation of the one and only Tony Walton, of Broadway and movie fame, and friend of BK!

Hainsies/Kimlets or H/Ks?
Ah...another mystery explained!  Thank you.  There ought to be a new members manual [and a free toaster!] for the newbies.

I can't review "X" yet because I haven't ordered it yet, and when I do, I'll be ordering the Shire disc at the same time, so I imagine BK will send them out together when the latter is ready in a few weeks.

François, if you need something to listen to later this evening, I'm on Showtime this week. I'll be sending out an e-mail to the general list of people later but I saw you on and wanted to let you know. I'm almost 50 minutes into the show (near the end). I don't know when it will be up on Listen Again but you can check later this evening. It's my review of The Fantasticks.

Dinner is ready so I'm outta here.

No, don't know BK at all.  Just knew OF him from purchasing most of his previous CD releases [from previous labels, as well].  And his occasional posts at All That Chat - one of which led me to the Oscar party here last week, which led to lurking, which led to...CRAZY ADDICTION!!!

There are two tracks on the BRAIN CD that I have played over and over: Kevin's solo in the first act, and Mr. Clark's hilarious greeting and scolding (and singing) to the audience that opens the second act.

And Larry, your orchestrations are "the bomb" (to quote Randy Jackson from IDOL; I'm not much on modern hip talk, but I'm assumning that means magnificent.)

Aw, shucks, DR Matt H!  What a kind thing to say.  Thank you. I agree with you about BJ's act two opening tirade.

I am back from a very looooong day, and I still have band parts to copy tonight.  I'll catch up and vanish.

Yes. When you said you'd lurked a while I assumed you'd picked up our HHW terminology, but you really hadn't lurked that long.

The new members manual is the Kritzer trilogy. Best way to get to know BK and many of the little expressions he and we use.  (WHAT??? You haven't READ it? Oh, of course, it'll arrive with your two CDs.)

Let's see, what else do we need to tell him?
