Good morning!

Another beautiful day here though it's going to be cooler (highs in the 50s only) for the next few days, but we get real spring weather later in the week.

Sunday morning greetings!  Let's all keep DR Cillaliz company while she waits for for her flight.  Safe travel vibes!

DH Richard is off to Cincinnati for church and after while I'll meet him  and our DS Rob at the Univ of Cincinnati.  We'll have an early dinner together before Richard and I go to Music Hall for the Pops.  Guest artists tonight are Celtic Tenors Matthew Gilsenan, James Nelson, and Daryl Simpson and Celtic Woman Deirdre Shannon.  One unusual thing is that Tito Munoz is conducting, not Erich Kunzel.

BK and I don't always agree about movies, but we certainly do agree about SECONDS: unusual, one-of-a-kind, brilliant. I can't believe people didn't cotton to it in its day.

My DVR did pick up POSEIDON so I'll be watching it this afternoon. I don't expect much, but at least it's not overlong. That should make it less painful to sit through if it's as poor as reviews have claimed.

If there's time after POSEIDON, I'll probably watch Bob Hope's LOUISIANA PURCHASE. It's on a double feature disc with another film, neither of which I have ever seen.

DR Cillaliz - has your car been parked under cover in Omaha or will you have to clear it of snow before you can drive home?

DR Jennifer:

You expressed surprise yesterday that so many of tonight's shows were not repeats but were fresh episode.

It's really not so hard to understand. Twice in the last month and a half, the Sunday night schedule has been put in limbo by big events: the Super Bowl in late January, and the Oscars in late February. The shows featuring new episodes tonight were not broadcasting new episodes during those special events, so they have one or two "extra" episodes that the networks can play now.

Very easy to understand.

The person we don't know is going to New Orleans.  They think she can get a replacement since she has her id.  I'm hoping they are right.  She doesn't seem to be upset...sheesh, I think I would be

It's in the ramp - covered.  I usually park there anyway, but I knew the snow was coming so I made sure I got a spot on the inside part of the ramp

The Dannys get solo moments tonight on GREASE, and I'm really looking forward to watching them perform. The four that are left are definitely the strongest performers and the most appealing ones, too, so it should be an entertaining hour.

As for which Sandy will be leaving, I really have no clue.

Dogs stolen at gunpoint recovered
Police help reunite four out of five Yorkshire terriers with L.A. family
The Associated Press
Updated: 10:06 a.m. ET March 4, 2007
LOS ANGELES - Four purebred Yorkshire terriers stolen at gunpoint during a home invasion robbery more than a week ago were returned to their owners after a man turned himself in to police.

Three puppies, valued at $2,500 each, and a full-grown family pet named Tan-ja were reunited with their owners at the Wilshire Division police station Saturday night.

One puppy remained missing, police said.

Family members hugged and kissed the panting pups and left the police station with the dogs in their arms.

The animals were recovered after Ryan Betton, 19, of Los Angeles, surrendered to police Friday night, Detective Luis Corona said.

He was booked for investigation of residential robbery, police said.

A videotape of the robbery that aired on local television brought in many tips, including telephone calls that sent police to the home of Betton’s father, Corona said.

“When the son came home, he confronted the son and that led to the son being brought in to the station to turn himself in,” Corona said.

A second man was being sought.

Likely intent to give dogs as gifts
The puppies had been advertised for sale in a newspaper and two men posing as buyers made an appointment to see them on Feb. 23. When a family member opened the door, one of the men pulled a gun. The men ordered the family of four to lie on the living room floor.

A home surveillance camera caught the scene as one man held a gun and the other chased after the puppies with a plastic garbage bag as they scampered around the room and underneath a coffee table.

He snatched one of the dogs from a woman’s hands.

No one was injured.

Corona said before they were returned, the dogs were found in several places, including Long Beach.

Authorities believe the robbers didn’t intend to sell the dogs but probably wanted to give them away as gifts, Corona said.

An LAPD official did not know if Betton had legal representation.

With that bit of happy news, I'm going to sign off. I want to save the rest of my battery until later and make a couple necessary stops before boarding the plane.   Laters....

Saw Zodiac on Friday night. It's an okay film, but probably 30 minutes to 45 minutes to long. The film spanned many years and basically it was the same thing over and over again: Searching for the Zodiac killer from the 60's and 70's. He was never caught, but I did learn they actually had a suspect but didn't have enough evidence to arrest him.

At one point the investigating detectives go see Dirty Harry. You see a clip with the late John Vernon and you hear a couple of other seens. Most notable when the  killer played by Andrew Robinson  hijacks the schools bus. It was also quite obvious that they could not get permission to use Clint Eastwood's likeness in the film. He is missing from the any of the visuals and audio clips from the film. Also there is another quick seen in the lobby where they show a standee cutout of Dirty Harry and it is scene from the neck down.
