Hi JRand.... it is really odd how it often happens that someone you mention, turns out to be someone I had an association with in the past.

In the mid 1960s I was fortunate to be asked to substitute on General Hospital when the regular MD took a vacation. Some of the cast were very stuck on themselves, but several of the cast members were very nice to a young musician like me. One of them was Patricia Breslin, who played Meg Baldwin (wife of one of the main characters Peter Baldwin). Patricia was always very open and friendly; the other really great character actress on the show was Lucille Wall and I really adored her!. She would invite me to take the 30 minute break between dress and final taping in her dressing room. She always had cookies and goodies to share, we'd have coffee or a soft drink, and she would tell me about the much earlier days of radio drama that she had starred in.

One of my fondest working memories of my pro days.....and I liked Ms. Wall so much that I even named my first '56 Thunderbird "Lucille" in her honor.

Favorite animal star: Woofer, from THE ADVENTURES OF OCIEE NASH.

I'm partial because I edited it, but I also love Woofer, too. We couldn't afford a real trained actor dog so woofer belonged to the production manager and also happened to be very photogenic. He even did act in a few scenes!

Lucille was great! She was one of my favorites on the original GENERAL HOSPITAL.

Nobody ran that Nurse's Station like she did!

Glad to hear that she AND Patricia were so nice. Last time I saw Patricia, she was on some cable show about stars' homes. She had purchased and was living in the home that Charlie Chaplin had given to Lita Grey as part of their divorce settlement. She still looked great.

And I had forgotten she was on GH!!

I was on a jury once, and dismissed two other times. It was an open and shut case, and they couldn't figure out why we were in the deliberation room for more than ten minutes. Then entire case, jury selection to verdict, was about 7 hours. I have never been so BORED in all my life.

I had a fun start to the day. I had a nail in my tire, so we jumped off the battery of my 17 year old Corolla but I couldn't keep it running. So my DH leant me his car and took mine to have the tire fixed. When they did, they also found a huge shard of wood impaling the tire. (Last year a logging truck dropped a tree in front of me on a very rainy night after a long edit until 2AM. A semi almost hit me as it tried to avoid the tree and the tree destroyed two of my wheels.)

Later today my DH drove into Atlanta and swapped cars so I wouldn't have to drive his Trooper home in the dark. He handed me the shard of wood from my tire. It brought back some creepy memories.

That is very scary, Edisaurus. I am always afraid of things falling off trucks. My sister's friend's husband was badly hurt when he hit a sofa that fell off a truck.

DR Jane ~ Let us know about Sherlock (poor puppy). Could he have a sticker or little pebble lodged inbetween a pad. DP (dear puppy) Deuce, my loveable lug, tends to get stickers and/or pebbles lodged in his "toes" and although he will fight me (doesn't like us messing with his "feet") that's what I'll usually find if he starts favoring a "foot" during or after one of our walks. Just a thought. Hope Sherlock will be as good as new ASAP!
