Catfish Assault Reported at Diner

BULLS GAP, Tenn. (March 7) - The folks at Di's Diner were assaulted with a catfish dinner of their own making.

Employee Tina Henry and owner Dwight Jenkins told authorities a "blond, heavy-frame female" tried to slip out of their Bulls Gap eatery, about 60 miles northeast of Knoxville, with a pilfered catfish meal Friday night.

"Tina states that as the suspect was paying, they told her she would have to pay for the dinner in her purse," Hawkins County Sheriff's Cpl. David Lafollette wrote in his report.

"She then became mad, throwing money at the cash register. The suspect then walked outside, and Tina and Dwight followed," the report said.

"The suspect then threw the fish out of her purse at Tina, hitting her in the back."

Henry wasn't hurt, but the $7.99 catfish dinner was ruined.

Good morning. With this stupid cold I didn't sleep too well last night, but it does seem to be getting better.   I have a very busy day at work so I decided to just get up and get the day started.

I must say that the producers on Top Design keep giving the contestants DUMB projects to do that don't really let them use their talents.

Last night they re-did a family's GARAGE!

At least the previews for next week showed the promise of a breakdown!!

I'm just going through the posts from yesterday.

DR MattH, you said something about frenchie davis/American Idol.  You said that Frenchie had not told the producers about her photos. I don't think that's right. I'm not positive, but i just read an article today that said she HAD told the producers.

Good morning, all!  I've got one more part to write for Liz this morning, so I will go and take care it now.

My day is uneventful at the moment, mostly waiting to see what fresh hell turns up.

It's not what I usually have, oatmeal with cranberries and walnuts, but it will do. I can't find a picture of oatmeal with raisins. I sometimes put cranberries in with the raisins or I will chop an apple and put that in as well. I've never put almonds in my oatmeal. I also have a cup of black coffee with my oatmeal. I've cut down to about 2 cups of coffee a day. I used to drink much, much more but I am now only a moderate drinker of said beverage.

Speaking of Humphries (albeit spelled differently), John Inman, the actor who played Sales Clerk Mr. Humphries on Are You Being Served? has died.

John Inman has died.

He was certainly fun!  When he arrives at the pearly gates, perhaps he will say, for the last time: "I'm free!"
