-Although, actually, it was a very good morning.  People seem to be more prepared this year, and they know what they can and can't do.

That's pretty scary.

And these people can vote in our general elections?

Some would say often with frightening results.

And the afternoon session begins in about 20 minutes, and I still need to run back to my room before I start playing again.

Hope everyone is well.  Hopefully, I'll be able to catch up on things tonight.

There may also be places in the area for free internet---coffee shops, etc.---since you are so close to the Georgia State campus.

My musical tastes are, well, Some would say eclectic, other suggest schizoid

DR edistaurus - Thank You for dinner last night!  It was a great pleasure meeting you and your DH.  I may see you again tonight, but I'm still trying to pin my schedule for the rest of the day.  But again, Thank You!

*And the Goodie Bag you provide me with last night has helped the morning go by much faster.  :)

I would recommend as a good introduction: "Moonlighting",

I added it, and kept Jump for the Grandlads.

Only two copies of Moonlighting left!

Speaking of Humphries (albeit spelled differently), John Inman, the actor who played Sales Clerk Mr. Humphries on Are You Being Served? has died.

John Inman

Thanks for the news Ben, sad news indeed. May he rest in peace...

Mr. Humphries is a fun character.  I have had the most fun watching him and Mollie Sugden who played Mrs. Slocumbe...

My favorite phrase from Mrs. Slocumbe is "I am unaminous in that"

SCORE ONE FOR YOUR TEAM!  EXCELLENT!

"Our Team" once asked about having her come to one of our meetings.

Sure, was the reply, $60,000!

The Ayn Rand devotees of the group were prepare to tell her to shove it! The sailor in me suggested we pay her in hot Silver dollars she could pick-up Tijuana bar style.

der Brucer

O course, if she goes the "rehab" route, we might get her for free! (We would make a fortune on the old fruit and vegetable concessions.)

Jeanne - I remember that it was very important to me somehow to see FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL on its opening day in NYC at the 68th Street Playhouse, so by then I was already a fan.  But I think I first really became aware of Bruce as a standout watching the Dinah Shore variety show.

Thanks, FJL.

Has anyone ever started a David Letterman-style TOP TEN list?
You know you're a HHW junkie if...

I'll go first:

10 Your Amazon basket is constantly being filled with DRs recommendations

9 You greet the morning with a NYC oatmeal bowl

8 You go to sleep after wishing a Dakota Maiden "Sweet Dreams"

7 You go to Dictionary.com daily

6 You hear Ray Bolger sing "Once in love with Amy", and have visions of a stegosaurus entangled in film

5 You know Sherlock barks and Callie purrs

4 You know hear tell Rewind is fact not fiction!

3 You know HHW DRs are not named Welby, Quinn, Kildare, Zhivago , or Strangelove

2 You call "Our Town" "Kritzerland"

1 You know  "what is it, fish?" is a rhetorical question

I LOVE FRITZ KREISLER!

Did you know he was a charlatan! He released his original compositions as the works of other "long interred" composers.

At least he didn't wear a ball-cap to disguise his true identity!
