The Music Man was the first musical I just had to have the album for....and it was the soundtrack to the movie, not the original cast recording...

and then in high school everyone in my youth group at church just had to get Jesus Christ Superstar when we saw the touring show in San Antonio

As a little me, I wasn't in the know about original cast recordings -- musical neophyte that I was back then, I just wanted an album with the music so I could listen to it over and over...

So I would have to say that The Brain really is the first show I saw where I eagerly awaited the original, one and only, cast recording...

Before I become too discombobulated, I'd  better get to deleting some of those tasks from the list that is making me feel so discombobulated....

Ginny, you got it! As soon as I transfer it to a CD. I'll burn you a copy. Warning, may cause drowsiness (not of the Chaperone kind)  ;)

Thanks, Ben, I'll look forward to it!  As for the drowsiness, last year my co-workers teased me for attending a geeky all-day seminar on filling out IRS Form 1023.

Happy Monday!

It's a terrible allergen/allergy day for yours truly.  I'm in misery.  Yes, I'm taking something.

I also have the day off as this is the final day or repairs to my ceiling....today is prime and paint day.  Priming should being within an hour.  Painting should be finished early this afternoon.

Sigh.

The weekend was totally inconsequential for me.

And that's cool.

I watched "The Robe" on DVD yesterday afternoon.  This movie NEEDS a restoration...particularly a cleaning.

The DVD transer I have is not spectacular, visually.  It doesn't look like a digital transfer at all, which I'm not certain anyone ever claimed it to be.

It's time for coffee....and a scone.

I love my morning coffee.

Scones are nice, too.

DR Ron Pulliam, condolences.

Do you know about pollen.com?  You can input your zip code and get a localized pollen forecast.  But then, your body is already telling you it's a problem, so I guess that doesn't help much.

OK.  My mind is playing tricks on me.  I thought someone earlier in today's topic had mentioned Birds of Paradise.  Now I can't find the entry.  But it's a wonderful score.  One track was used as the background diegetic music in the "roof" scene in the movie Camp.

DR Ginny, sorry to hear about your migraine.  Glad you're feeling better today.  Those can be excruciating!

And, DR DearReaderLaura, my sympathies to you and all DRs who have had bad dreams lately.  It seems to be epidemic around here.

My strange dream the other night was that I kept waking up to see if it was 9 am (the new adjusted time) because Skip had an appointment at 9 a.m. that he had to either get to or postpone.

But this was illogical when I thought about it the next day, since it 9:00 had already come, he would already have been late for his appointment.

Good morning dear Esteemed, rested (but off an hour), and svelte BK --

It really is nice, here in AZ, to not have to worry about the whole DST thing.  The only problem is, it changes our relationship to other time zones from winter to summer.

Hi dear Elmo..... Hi Fred...... Hi Mike B.......  I have to go be a little productive for now.

Does everyone still think that they may be home in NYC around the week starting on the 25th of June??  I think I'd like to come visit a few days.

I mentioned BIRDS OF PARADISE.  I saw the show during its brief run about six times.  Todd Graf, who directed CAMP, was in the original cast of BIRDS OF PARADISE.

I thought of other shows I've seen early in performance and then eagerly awaited the cast album: RENT, THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, and ON YOUR TOES.

Why thank you, DR MusicGuy!  I guess the stress of my first frenzy was just too much.

is the transformation being done merely with clothing?... ;)
DR Miss Karen, I may need to rummage through your costume collection!   ;)
