Well, you've read the notes, the notes exposed the Vernal Equinox for what it was, and now it is time for you to post until the cows (moo moo) come home.

The "Pogono Trophy" was one of the Dance competitons in "Strictly Ballroom". Due to the inability of some of the film "extras" to cope with the complex steps - the scenes were cut from the final print. Paul Mecurio is still about in some "Seedy" venues, instructing wouldbe champions in the art of "Pogono" lifts and glides.

It was rumoured that Baz L attempted to introduce Pogono steps in "Moulin Rouge" but before long its was added to a certain star's list of can't act, can't sing and can't dance, and the idea was dropped.

That's a joke people. Jim Broadbent is actually an expert at Pogono.

Morning all. I just caught up.

I have a meeting at 3pm. I usually leave at 4pm but this meeting may make my usual leaving time impossible. The meeting has to do with mundane issues of Country Codes and the revision thereof (you don't wanna know). Just because it's mundane doesn't mean it can't be turned into a long, boring, stupid meeting that will take close to or more than the allotted hour. I've been in these types of meetings before. I know whereof I speak.

Well I glad the package finally showed up.  It would be just too bad if the driver had tickets for a show last night, wouldn't it?

VIBES to DR CASON on his audition today - you can leave your hat on.

And I THINK that in callbacks involving dis-dress, actors can be asked to remove clothing.  You wouldn't want to get into rehearsals and discover that someone has three nipples or six toes on one foot, now would you?

My question for ASK BK day.....

Since in the good old days most films were shown on double features, how could box office be calculated for a movie?

I know sometimes studios were paid for a second feature with a set sum...was this deducted from the total receipts and the difference credited to the main feature?

Re: last night's IDOL.

My favorite was blake.  And i think my second favorite was jordin.  She has really grown on me these last two weeks. Initially i did not like her.

I also thought Chris R did well. But i am not liking him as much as i did in the beginning.

I thought haley was better.  But i still don't know about her. I actually liked what she was wearing.

I think stephanie is going downhill and fast. She will be in trouble this week.

For a second week i was not thrilled with Chris S (who i initially adored).  Same with Phil.  I just don't like him as much as i used to.

Melinda was very good.  I thought lakisha was just okay (i was quite disappointed since she's been so great up until now).

Sanjaya was bad. And i agree with DR MattH. Why were they praising him? Maybe they just decided to stop crucifying him and that will be the only way to get him out. But i actually think they liked it.

I think the ones in the bottom will be phil, sanjaya and stephanie.

Watched the last part of AI last night and saw the recaps!

Don't really know what to say except that Gina and Sunjaya were both pretty darn bad!

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up...

And I got up a little earlier today since the exterminator is supposed to come this morning - between 8:00am-10:00am - for the usual Spring spritz.  I've already showered and shaved, as well as had my breakfast.  -And I'm actually thinking of heading downtown sooner rather than later, and letting my still-sleeping roommates deal with the bug guy.  I'm not responsible for being here while the exterminator is here, I just have a feeling that he'll probably show up just as I'm leaving... Murphy's Law and all that.  *Of course, not Cason Murphy's Law... ;)

In any case...

You are correct, Sir.  Although, since the full monty in The Full Monty only occurs during the final moment of the show - and in blinding lights usually - the disrobing at the audition is mainly to see how comfortable the actors are being disrobed since they do spend a good deal of time not fully dressed except for the their smile - and their underwear.  And how much they will have to spend on waxing.   ;D

Anthony has an audition this morning. A production of Shear Madness, something that has been playing for years and years in Washington, DC at the Kennedy Center no less, and Boston, is being done up in Lake George for the summer.

He also has an audition on Friday for the tour of Drowsy Chaperone. He will be auditioning on Monday for a Rodgers and Hart revue. I don't know where that will be done.

All appropriate vibes would be appreciated. My husband needs work.

Good morning, all.

Is anyone here familiar with the software product Notion 1.5?  It is advertised in the new Opera News, and sounds kind of intriguing:

Wield total control over the music you love and experience the power and nuance of every note in ways never before possible.  NOTION offers innovative music software that places the London Symphony Orchestra directly into your hands.  Explore and even conduct treasured works with a full, responsive orchestra at your fingertips.

Intriguing!

You can find more information here.
