"oxidently in love" was used in Shrek 2.

:)  I was just watching that this evening with my younger cousins and aunt.

You'll wonder where the flavour went

Some orders are holier than others.

My opinion, for whatever it's worth - don't call back anymore.  You've made two calls - they know you're interested in finding out.  Now you just have to put it in the hands of fate - if you get the call, great - if you don't, you're not a nudge.  Making the extra call isn't going to get you the part and it makes you seem too needy.

Good point.  They know I want to know, so it's up to them.

You don't want to be thought of as a call boy.

I know, I know -- and usually, I am a very patient person.

As long as people respect deadlines -- or at the very least, let you know that your wait is going to be worth it (not even in the sense of "getting the part" in this case - but just getting some kind of closure).

My mom and I have had a discussion about how we are willing to wait in ridiculously long lines as long as we KNOW that we'll get whatever it is that we want on the other side.

Like waiting at the financial aid office at the college...as long as when you get up to the window and they don't tell you that there was one little form or something you needed to get signed, I will wait til Kingdom Come if need be...though if Kingdom Come came, I guess I wouldn't need to be waiting at the financial aid office.

...yikes, I just re-read what I wrote and am cringing.

This is the part where the veterans all say at once " Get used to it!" and dash our hopes of a fun and equal future for actors.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, well I will state here and now that if I ever get in a position of power, that'll be something I never do -- the making people wait thing.

End of rant.  :)

I'm the same way.  When I buy something on-line like on eBay, it doesn't matter too much to me how long it takes to get it in the mail...just as long as I get it and it's in the condition that was described, or better.  I see so many negative feedback comments left that say stuff like "I paid for this last week and it's not here yet!!"  And then they make a personal comment that's totally unnecessary. :P

Oh, and I'm at my sister's house with three cats that are chasing each other all over the house...and I don't think that it's all fun and games. ::) Casper, the older cat seems a little annoyed with the two young girls, Elphaba and Nessa Rose.  Yes, they were named for a cartoon ghost and two witches from Wicked.  They're all my niece's cats.
