DR elmore - I may have missed a further update, but did you say you needed to buy another remote control?  -If you do, just remember to keep the receipt... 'Cause as soon as you walk back into your apartment and set the bag down with the new one in it, you'll undoubtedly find the old one.

-Have you checked under the bed?  On top of a row of CDs?  On top of a row of books?

Well, that's about it for now.

All About Us is doing a press preview today.  I don't have to be there, but I want to - at least to turn pages for the assistant conductor (who will be playing for today's presentation), and to see the presentation as well.  Then after that, it's back to 42nd Street land for a few hours, then possibly back to All About Us for a bit depending how the schedule for the rest of day works out.    -Everything is in the same building just one floor - and stairwell - apart.  And then...  I, too, may be attending the final dress of Face The Music tonight, but I think I'm actually in the mood for a movie - I have seen one since that all-day Oscar Fest a couple of weeks ago.  We'll see.

Laters...

I shall endeavor to look more like my avatar, DR ELMORE!  It is unfocused slightly to be sure, but at least it isn't stretched or squeezed.  :P

Word from work:  the water shut-off will be at 11am and will be in effect for at least 2 hours.

I am now officially on vacation for the day.

WooHoo! A vacation day! What are you going to do?

1)  Play here at HHW
2)  Clean up my desk & computer area
3)  Continue working on the AAUW/Ohio conference & convention - mostly trying to keep the whole thing from imploding  ::)
4)  Have dinner and attend a church music program with my DH
5)  Read magazines and relax

Question for BK:

DR JRand's WWS at Grauman's comment made me wonder--how long did a movie play at this theatre?  Since it was such a prestige place to premier a movie, it must have also been in high demand.  What was their run policy?  Was everything set for a limited engagement after the premier?  Or did they run like Radio City and cycle out films after the receipts dipped below a certain threshold?

I thought being a heteroclite was a prerequisite for joining HHW?

Jrand - I thought your picture looked quite movie-starrish and rugged.  Sort of Ed Harris crossed with a touch of Jim Carrey goofiness.

Several DRs got us off to a great start in this morning's wee hours, smashing through old records, etc., but now we're all sitting here, like so much fish.
