What's odd is that yesterday, one of the ladies at work had to go home because her grandmother fell walking fom her car to her house and broke her hip.  She had surgery this morning.

And thank goodness that they can!   :)

I just fear them putting her under to do any kind of surgery since they keep saying that she is having breathing problems.

You are both in my thoughts and prayers, Danise!

Did you manage to pass on the phallic popcicle molds?

Yes.  As well as a "flowering" muffin pan.

Oh, I guess you're right.  However, would be the right age for you, DR TCB?

;)

Actually, that would probably be pretty close, Jose.

"Idol" Thought #5:

RE: Blake - And this is totally a "subjective" view, but... Would anyone else like to see him show some skin?  Or at least stop wearing so many layers.

DR Cason - Songs from the 1960's or 1860's?  ;)

However...

Have you sent your P/R to any of the casting agencies in NYC?  You're VERY cast-able right now - just lots of projects casting young, good-looking, talented men.  -In fact, I hear that a certain upcoming Broadway production that is based in a high school is still looking for a few more "students".  (But you didn't hear that from me.)

DR Jane - Once you buy (unsweetened) cocoa, you can easily make your own hot cocoa.  And, best of all, you can then control how much sugar-sweetness you like in your cocoa.  I believe Hershey's still prints their classic hot cocoa recipe on the container.

And I understand that a certain New York bound sci-fi musical is going to be in need of a Zubrick!

So...

In anyone else watching "The Search for the Next (Pussy Cat) Doll"?

;D

*I have to say, I like how they show a lot of process and practice.  Although, their elimination tagline is the worst one around:  "Please hang up your boa."  -The beats our, "See you later, Decorator."

Hi guys! I've been vair vair busy the past day and a half trying to catch up solely on the stuff I missed Monday, as well as take care of everything for the rest of the week, and I haven't had as much time to spend here. I'll be going home this weekend for Easter sorts of things and to go to work and make a little money to pay for my trip to Europe this summer.

Have I ever mentioned that I work at Borders? Well, regardless, I do, and I love it. It's a great job that lets me work whenever I want, and I get a sweeet discount on the merchandise. Anyway, I'll be working at Borders in Sterling on Friday and Saturday if any of you are around, :D

Time to write a Psych paper.

And speaking of the upcoming revival of Grease - from today's NY Post:

'GREASE' & DESIST -
TV WINNERS NOT BOX-OFFICE GOLD

Here's the opening paragraphs:

Quote
April 4, 2007 -- The folks involved in "Grease" have been bragging for a week now about ticket sales - $9 million and counting for a revival that doesn't open until July.

What they haven't been talking about is a little misfire that happened last Monday, the day after the final installment of "You're the One That I Want," the NBC reality show from which the stars of the revival were cast.

The phones at Ticketmaster were, I'm told, ringing off the hook because a lot of viewers who bought tickets to "Grease" weren't happy with the actors chosen to play Danny and Sandy: Max Crumm (change the name, kid) and Laura Osnes.

"There was a bit of a frenzy because a lot of people wanted Austin and Ashley to win," says a source. "They wanted their money back."

Austin Miller and Ashley Spencer were the runners-up.

The source says extra people had to be added to the phone banks to handle the calls.

DR Jane - and any other DRs who might be interested in a good read...

Since you grew up in the Los Angeles area, I'd recommend "Slipstream" by Leslie Larson.  It's a quick read, but a very good one filled with some amazing "ordinary" characters and characterizations.

Here's the link to the book on Amazon: Slipstream.

And it just came out in paperback!
