To beat a dead horse, i almost forgot to mention one of my favorite (and I guess the most obvious) Kander & Ebb "PoPo" songs:

MusicGuy just pats 'em all
Underneath the mirrored ball
And the neon sign keeps flashing:  PoPo's

Popo's not around today
But still it's PoPo's anyway
He left that in his popolicious will

(you can just fill in the rest if you're inclined :) )

Good morning DRs and H/Ks. ..... it is another sunny, pretty morning here in the desert.  I have great hopes of actually finishing up all of the sound-system elements for the new home theatre wall in my family room.  I would have finished yesterday, but whilst cutting out a piece of drywall in a "hollow" section of wall, directly between 2 vertical studs (OK TCB, Tom Oz, derBrucer, et.al. it's all your's), I encountered a sneaky diagonal brace running across the hole at a 45 degree angle.  So this morning a friend is stopping by with the needed type of power saw to remove this offending bit of wood.  Oh yes, I am offended at this time!

None of this, of course, is anything as exciting as having a lesbian with a tool belt move your electrical outlet.  By the way, I actually know a lesbian with a tool belt......nice girl!

And even though we are being quiet like little churchmice here in the Living Room,  I wanted to leave a

..........WELCOME TO WEDNESDAY  message............ for dear Esteemed, fully-rewritten, rehearsed, sinewy, and macho BK--  for when he awakens to this new morn.  Just him and his well-rested po-po.

Did any of the commentators for EASTER PARADE mention Miss Ann Miller's sudden change from High Heeled Shoes to Flats between her solo and her duet with Mr Astaire near the end of the movie?

Of course they did because she was taller than Astaire when wearing heels. MGM was smart to cover that point in the script when Miller mentions to her maid Essie - "Don't forget my slippers" before she starts her number on the Amsterdam Roof.

Good morning!

Rainy and gray here and still cool, but we're due for a big warm up tomorrow with highs in the 70s. Still not getting out of the 50s today.

CBS has an all-new lineup tonight as does NBC. LOST is new as well, so the DVR will be in full swing at 10 p.m. while I watch LOST "live" over-the-air HD.

BONES is preempted tonight (darn!), so my TV watching won't start until 9. I'll probably watch THE QUEEN DVD in the meantime.

I will definitely get to both THE SOPRANOS and ENTOURAGE today. As for a DVD for the afternoon, looks like maybe MADAME BOVARY. I'd say it would be one of the new Doris Day DVDs, but mine didn't come yesterday as expected. In fact, my mail didn't get delivered until after 6 p.m., an all-time record for late delivery.

Hi Ben..... are you already down at your illustrious foundation/grant place?  Or is that even what it is??

Hi DR Laura ... how is your new thudding cast-iron bathtub??
And, how is your lesbian?  I wonder if all of the current DRs here know about the scandal and "wondering" about you and Sandra that time that you guys were out of town together somewhere??

Wednesday morning greetings!  Soon I have to go upstairs and host a networking brownbag lunch for nonprofit folks.  Our speaker today is a PR person from P & G Pet Care, who is scheduled to talk about corporate/nonprofit partnerships.  He told me yesterday that he's also prepared to answer questions about the recent pet food recalls.  I was afraid he'd have to cancel his appearance here, but he said he's looking forward to talking about something else for a while.

Well, since I mentioned that I had to locate and mark 2 vertical studs in my wall yesterday.....

I thought I'd beat the others to it, and post my own picture of "2 vertical studs".  These 2 painted my house a few years ago.....it was such a chore to have to keep taking them cold water.... snacks...paper towels....cold lobster salad.....
