DR Laura ~ Glad you made the trip safely.  The wind and dust were fierce even up here in our mile high city of Prescott today so I can not imagine driving in all that, especially across the desert.

That was the only Billie Holiday song I could think of.....

I do like Tony Bennett's tribute "on Holiday" though. I was too lazy to check the track listing.

Thanks, but I'm not quite there yet! I still have about a hundred miles to go. I just stopped for the night. I hope the weather is better tomorrow.

I tried to go to bed early, and just as I was drifting off to sleep I discovered a brilliant new location to set our scene from acting class in that solves alot of our issues. Now I am all excited and awake...

I hope I am not coming down with whatever my DH had. That would not make for a good weekend.

I do know Lazy Elsie Molly (but Ernest Evans knew her better - She likes Chubby men _ -I'm in with a chance)

Back from the rehearsal, which mostly went well, and then a late-night sup with Mr. Cason Murphy, who has been elected to serve on our new alumni association governing board.

edisaurus, the repetition is indeed one of my trademarks, and it's in full bloom in the new book - but I'm talking about words and a couple of phrases where it wasn't on purpose - a few too many people look at one character with "disdain".  I just have to find a couple of synonyms - just small stuff.

I'm absolutely stuffed with Turkey Pot Pie from Marie Callendar's...so I think I am going to take a nice shower and head off to bed with a good book.  Nothing like sleeping off a full stomach... :P
