And the word of the day is: VOMITORIUM!

Vomitorium:  noun:  an opening through which something is ejected or discharged; in a theater or stadium, esp. ancient, a passageway leading to and from the seating.

Or check out Wikipedia's entry.

6:11 am and I'm the only one in the jernt.

Oatmeal, coffee and some Trader Joe's Apple Grape juice. Yummm!

Michael B, if you have trouble getting used to the touch pad (I dislike them) you can get a USB mouse which will plug into an available USB port and relieve you of the aggrivation of touch pads. Many of them are small and they fit easily into a laptop case.

It's raining and it's in the 40s! Where is Spring???

I've heard that the set design for 110 in the Shade is gorgeous. A friend was in the theatre watching some of the tech. He didn't see any of the performances but he said the show should look beautiful.

As for the Topic of the Day...

I'd have to say Southern Indian Vegetarian cuisine is a good place to start.  Get one of the dosas which is basically a big rice flour pancake/crepe rolled around a base filling of potatoes and onions.  That's the basic.  Then there are various other fillings with vegetables you can branch out too.

Otherwise, Tandoor Chicken or Lamb is also a safe bet.  Basically the meat is marinated and then "baked" in a very hot over, a tandoor.  Served with rice on the side, and some other condiments.  It basically looks like a Chicken - or a Lamb - kebab/kebob/kabob.

It is one of the cleverest arrangements I have ever heard, and I love the song even more.   "The Physician."

This is one of the songs I recommended to DR DearReaderLaura  for her upcoming revue.  But she hasn’t shared her song choice with us, yet!

Good morning, fellow Dear Readers.

Today I will take my car in to have the oil changed; then I will drive west until I feel like stopping fo the night. I need to be in Orange County Friday at noon, and I decided not leave home at 4 am on Friday.

I was thinking about the one that goes Flash! Bang! Alakazam! But I haven't looked for the sheet music yet.

I haven't heard 'The Physician.' Maybe I should add the Twiggy CD to my list that BK is holding for me.

Of course, I can do more than one song.

They just love to have me perform, you know. They love bad singing as much as I do.

Of course, I would need to be able to find the sheet music for it.

TOD:

Bombay in Westport, CT is supposed to be a fine restaurant, at least it was several years ago when I last dined there.  It is reputed to be among Martha Stewart's favorites - though she no longer lives in the area.

I had wanted to take DR JoseSPiano there the other night, but I couldn't find the blasted place.

Anyway, you may peruse their extensive menu here.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, for instance, has vomitoria in two of its theatres...

I'm amazed the PR folks don't do more bragging...!

"At the conclusion to last night's Hamlet, the audience went dashing for the vomitoriums."

Oatmeal, coffee and some Trader Joe's Apple Grape juice. Yummm!

I am enjoying something new with my morning tea - it is a corn meal bread for toasting toast put out by the Thomas folks (muffins not train) - quite tasty.

I am up and almost about because my water-soluble partner wanted a ride to work.

Does any DR have any impression of this performance of Camelot:

First time to DVD, which I see is now available for pre-order.  It says it features Richard Harris and was filmed onstage at the Winter Garden Theatre in NYC in 1982.  There is a positive review or two over at Amazon, but was just wondering if any DR has an impression of this.  Thanks!
