Patrick asked me if I would be interested in covering the keyboard book...

Isn't it easier to play if the book is uncovered?

Good morning, good day, how are you this wonderful day?  I am up - at this time that's the best I can do.

Yup, you're just sitting there wallowing in blondness!

Call me Old Fashioned:

DITCH ROSIE
Quote
After Imus, DeLay Calls for Rosie to Be Fired
Wants Conservatives to Lead Anti-O'Donnell Push
AOL
(April 13) -- Fanning the flames of discontent sparked by the Imus controversy, former congressman Tom DeLay is making a plea for his fellow conservatives to get Rosie O'Donnell fired for recent remarks she made.

"I'm calling for conservatives to take on Rosie O'Donnell," DeLay said during an interview with CNN. "She criticized and ridiculed Chinese-Americans, she accused the president of being responsible for 9/11. Let's now start calling for her resignation."

He also recently penned an article on TownHall.com titled "If the Left Takes Imus, We’ll Take Rosie."

I think Rosie is as babbling nut-case; her 9/11 Conspiracy theories are fruit-cake ramblings; her prattling does a disservice to the country; I'd be pleased to see her off the air.

That said: she hasn't spouted anything that has not already been bantered on numerous web-sites; her most vocal detractors (read O'Reilly) offer a platform to equally fringe positions that also do a public disservice - particularly the xenophobic rantings on illegal immigration by him, Gibson and Malkin.

The true conservative has in his hands the means to silence Rosie - it's called a remote!

Good Heavens, if he right dumps Rosie, we might lose Ann!

Good Afternoon!

Greetings from the Green Room!

And, lo and behold, I've been granted a reprieve of sorts.  Due to some machinations that neither of us are really privy to, Jim and I will get one more day to prepare for our new "roles".  I will not be playing today's matinee.

*When the conductor called me, he had literally just gotten back to NYC this morning, and was about to turn around to head back up.  I just hope the rain doesn't make hinder his travel back to Westport.

Now I'm trying to figure out if I want to stay up here for the matinee, or catch an earlier train back to NYC.

-Although, since technically I'm still on the clock, I guess I should stay for the show.

Hi all!  I hope you came through the storm ok.

The tail was nothing.  I've seen worse summer storm and this was all over in about a half an hour.

Now we're under a high wind warning.  I confess you can feel the cold in that wind.  Burrrrr.

Sunday greetings!  It's cold and blustery here, but we're not getting the precipitation that's charging up the east coast.

This evening, DH Richard and I are taking my mother to see The Lion King at Cincinnati's Aronoff Center for the Arts.  The ticket was her Christmas present and she's pretty excited.  Not only has she never seen LK (I've seen it twice, DH once), this will also be her first trip to the Aronoff.  She watches a lot of Cincinnati TV, so has heard a lot about it since moving here 8 years ago.

And the rain here in Westport is truly yucky.  And the winds have picked up too.  In fact, I think Mother Nature will be providing a nice assist to rain sound effects during Part 2.  I can hear the rain on the roof.  (Ah, a Follies reference.)

Thanks! Jon said he was going to log on last night, but I think he may have had some plans with my niece and her boyfriend.  (He was staying at my brother's house, I was at my parents' house) He's heading back to Joplin either today or tomorrow.  I got up early and came back to Sioux City. It was a nice weekend, but I'm so glad to be home

Remember yesterday I said we were in the 80's?  Well, my weatherbug states it is now 66.  I could handle it better if things would change so fast.

The birthday party was nice.  It was a small group, about 17, of close friends and family.  It was very low key, which is what she wanted.  There was lots of wine, food and good conversation. A good time was had by all
