Monday morning greetings!  Today's my day off - doctor's appointment this morning, haircut this afternoon.  Prob'ly grocery shopping, too.

And I have about a gazillion thank-you notes to write to conference organizers and presenters.

I guess the difference between coprophilia and scatology is in the underlying emotion.

You have to FEEL it.

No, actually, it was sun-dried.  Where's a good taxidermist when you need one?

Thank you, DR singdaw.

*Oh, Wednesday night's performance will be followed by a talk-back.  I'm not sure who's talking back, but it could be interesting.

Is this the new musical by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty??  I can't wait for this!  I found a clip of Patti LuPone singing the song "I Was Here" on YouTube and had the song going through my head for a week and a half...literally!  And then I found that the song is in "The Ahrens & Flaherty Songbook," which was published in 2001!  I want to hear the rest of the score.

DR George, this song is also on Philip Quast: Live from the Donmar.

Re Beauty and the Beast - Just how many servants DID that one prince have for his castle anyway?  An awful lot of forks, knives and dishes - had each one of those been a real human being before the spell was put on the castle?

I'm not sure I've ever seen an Exploitation Film either.  Something tells me my mother would not have bundled me and my three younger brothers and taken us to see such a thing.

Well, I hope not.

And what's with naming the kid Chip?  Did the real-life boy have a scar?  Do we name kids after their deformities?

Oh... And did you know that the Greek word for "maid" is "Filipineza"?  -Quite an interesting story in yesterday's New York Times Magazine about Filipino family members working abroad in order to support their families back home in the Islands.

One hopes that the performance and talk back will not be as noisy as this little incident in Cambridge, MA

In any case... I should put my shoes on and head out.

Alas, no wireless at Equity, and I think I'm meeting a friend for dinner after today's audition session, so I shall be errant and truant most of the day.

Safe Travel Vibes to DRs MBarnum and MusicGuy.  *And I really do think it would be cool if they met in the airport.  Then they could share a cab/car to L.A.!

Laters...
