The biggest air polluters out here are gas leaf blowers. These are used to blow debris into the street and the neighbors' yards.

I found this out during that week and a half that the song was going through my head!  I got the CD (and I like it), but i don't care for his version of the song as much as Patti's.  It seems to me that it needs to be more anthem-like and his interpretation is a little too introspective...not "big" enough.  Just my 2¢. :)

It looks like all those operas that the Met has been simalcasting to movie theatres are also being shown on PBS.  I haven't been to any of the movie house showings, but I've been hearing nothing but raves about them.

I wanted to see "The First Emperor" in the theater, but the closest one showing it was in Auburn, much too far away from Olympia just to see a movie. ::)

If the films were made between 1950 and 1979, the actors were in states of almost to nearly to completely nude, they're almost as good as Bollywood.

Yes...if it says that it can play (or be adjusted to play) PAL DVDs also.  There are some DVD players that can play any regions, but only if they're NTSC.  PAL vs. NTSC is different than the region codes.

I am on the giant shuttle bus with about 20 other people all heading to the Portland airpot. The bus is equiped with wireless internet!! Isn't technology interesting?!

Thank you for the travel vibes. I certainly appreciate it.

I don't know if I like this laptop very much. Windows Vista constantly downloads updates and then reboots whether I want it to or not!!! I was in the midst of catching up on the posts and wham, everything went dark.

And I have no idea how long the battery remains charged in this thing. I guess I will learn.

And do you think you'd also be up to breakfast on Wednesday morning??  Didn't you once say that there was a nice little restaurant that was just about a short walk from your house (and maybe over a little foot-bridge or something) ??  Something to consider.   But I'd also be up for going to the Farmer's Market DuPar's.... I haven't seen it since it re-opened.

I was quite surprised to see how much it has changed since I was there last. It's like Disneyland now! The Farmer's Market area...not DuPars!)
