The graphics on page 4 didn't put me into Cinemascope either.

I finished A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS. It's a beautifully made film with fine performances. I still would have voted for WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? for Best Picture if I had had an Oscar vote in 1966.

I finished the movie just it time for UGLY BETTY. The ignoramuses at the local ABC affiliate didn't flip the HD switch until about 8 minutes into the broadcast, and I was livid until someone woke up.

The show was wonderful as Betty made her peace with the folks she thought had let her down. Real shock with the Alexis storyline (though I should have known better). Funny, the actor playing her lover played the recurring role of the gay boy friend on THE CLASS earlier this season.

And I still adore Justin. He only has to walk through a scene or make a quip or two and he steals the show. I thought he was hilarious sitting under that hair dryer.

GREY'S ANATOMY had some fascinating storylines. I knew they had to set up the Addison withdrawal for next week's pilot episode for her potential new show. Well done.

Things don't look good for Derek and Meredith (again). Ah well. I wonder whom she'll fall for next?

CSI had a despicable episode that took a sneering tongue-in-cheek look at a pathetic ex-boxer's death. I really hated this episode's lighthearted tone over all the attempts on the man's life. A really vile episode.

I'll have to see DR Cason's starring role on THE OFFICE tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it along with the other NBC comedies, and the two adventures on the CW - SMALLVILLE and SUPERNATURAL.

Not familar with everyone
Who are
Noah Racy
Ludivine Seigner
Anthony Wong

Noah Racy is a Broadway guy, currently in Curtains.  Starred in Never Gonna Dance and Tony Walton's production of Where's Charley.

Ludivine Sagnier is a gorgeous young French gal - as Francois noted in 8 Femmes and Peter Pan, and also Mr. Ozon's Swimming Pool.

Anthony Wong was in Infernal Affairs - a terrific actor.

Well, when you name a child "Mia St. John Nude" - you can't really complain when she ends up posing somewhere.

For the RECORD, Dear Ones:

My page 4 post (i.e. #98) did not put "me" into Cinemascope.  I had no idea what folks were talking about.

The hints about the post # didn't register, either.  Just come out and tell me, "Ron, your damned graphics have the rest of us in Cinemascope...can you please reduce the size!?

And I shall happily oblige one and all.

;D

I left quite early to get over there and it was a good thing because I got very lost and ended up driving around Beverly Hills for about an hour..

DR MBarnum, I suggest you invest in a Thomas Guide and you will never have to stop and ask directions again (and interrupt those nice firemen as they're working out!) ;D It's a big thick book of LA Maps, and a bit pricey, but so worth it!

DR Ron, I didn't know whose graphics expanded the page, I just thought it was a funny coincidence that it was on the page where MBarnum mentioned Panorama City!

And this is my last little quick "pop-in" for the evening.  I too, (like dear DR Laura), must turn in very early to face this crappy schedule in the morning.

A lovely goodnight to all and sun-dried and lovely and studly.

And dear Esteemed BK -- my hickey still looks lovely, and I've picked out shirts that will feature it at all of my business meetings.

kiss-kiss.

Cason Murphy was indeed in the PULL UP to the school shot....some nice screen time.  Didn't see him in the hallway....but it's just half time, so we may have some more shots yet.

Damn! I just got home and I missed Cason!

Does this show get rerun on another network, like some shows do?

I am reminded one again by those photos how handsome our Music Guy is. I forget  since I'm so used to only see the back of him!

(Music Guy! Nice to see you're back! LOL...)

I wonder if it's one of those Mac vs. PC things.

Or at least Safari vs. IE.

But who would we have cast in Lost Horizon back when it was made?  And who SHOULD have directed it?

Here's some choices:

Director: Robert Wise

Choreographer: Michael Bennett or Ron Field

Writer: Ernest Lehman

Score: Burt Bacharach with some new lyrics by Mr. David

Cast:

In the Peter Finch role: Richard Burton
In the Liv Ullman role: Julie Andrews
In the Bobby Van role: Tommy Rall, Bob Fosse, or Bobby Van
In the Sally Kellerman role: Jill Clayburgh or Michelle Lee or Diane Keaton
In the George Kennedy role: George Kennedy
In the Olivia Hussey role:  ?
Chang: John Gielgud
High Lama: Charles Boyer or Sam Jaffe

If Sam Jaffe played the role he wouldn't have needed make-up.
