It is 11 - 6 on Friday (today) and 10 to 5 on Saturday.

I know not why (I thought it was ten also, until we looked at the flyer this morning...I could have slept in!)

Paul:  Joanne, you know that musician I met yesterday over at the Playhouse...the one that needed the haircut?

Joanne:  Yes, I recall.

Paul:  Well, I saw him again today, and darned if he didn't go ahead and get his hair cut!

Joanne:  Well, that's great, Paul!  But you'd better get that picture re-taken, then.

Paul:  Why is that, Joanne?

Joanne:  Well, with the Internet these days, you don't know where the old picture might get posted, and we have your image to consider!

I am in denial and avoiding even THINKING about this whole issue...   :)

AND I am anxiously awaiting DR der Brucer's report on the BBC Planet Earth series on DVD.

MS Amazon hasn't shipped yet!

I did find my copy of Jonathon Weiner's "Companion Volume" to the PBS version (Unfortunately, this book refers to an ealier series, still titled "Planet Earth" from the 1980s

He's stunted, all right.  But we just can't persuade him to give up the cigarettes...

Good Morning!  Good Afternoon!

Well, I should be playing auditions right now, but since we only had 20 people show up this morning - I'm not even sure 20 showed up - I was done at Noon.  So, I'm already back home for a while before heading back up to Westport.

A lazy afternoon.  Albeit a rainy one, but at least I'm inside.

Friday media report:

CD(car) - audiobook - Frank Rich's The Greatest Story Ever Sold:  The Decline and Fall of Truth from 9/11 to Katrina, narrated by Grover Gardner.

DVD - Thank You for Smoking, Flower Drum Song, The Queen.  For that last, we've promised the 2 grandmas and my aunt a movie party, so we'll probably be having company Sunday.

DR singdaw - I actually have a stack of All About Us programs that I hope to send out next week - since I'll actually have a good chunk of time to prep the envelopes and send them out.  *And I will finally(!) send out the Sparkling Prizes from the Oscar Pool - which are about two months overdue now. (Sorry, blame me.)  *Oh, and some of the programs even have some "scribbles" on them.  I think.  ;)

DR Ginny,  thanks very much for the tip on the Maisie Dobbs series.  Sounds very interesting!  :)

I also read and enjoyed Maisie Dobbs. I also read #2. A good choice for lovers of period fiction. Some used copies available on Amazon.

As for the Friday Media Check...

-I don't even think I've turned on my iPod this week.

???

Otherwise, it's been WQXR waking me up in the morning, and helping me sleep in the evening.

I've been wondering if someone here could develop Maisie Dobbs - The Musical?
