We've got Singdaw, Dan (the Man), myself and der Brucer (of course). That's four, so far.

During my last year at Western Washington University (1989), the Concert Choir was invited to perform at the National Music Educator's Association conference in Indiana. When that was finished, we drove from Indiana up to Chicago (stopping along the way for concerts at some high schools) and we had half a day to ourselves in Chicago. Several of us went to the Art Institute of Chicago and I stood there at the painting for a couple of hours. One of the guys in our group actually took a picture of me standing in front of the actual painting, but he never made me a copy! Damn him! Damn him to hell!! I got a huge box of CDs from the Kritzerland warehouse today. Thanks, BK, I think you even threw in a couple we didn't order, but that's just fine. I dropped your cheque in a mailbox on the streets of downtown Cincinnati Saturday afternoon. I don't think it had any weekend pick-ups, so it was probably collected today, which means you oughta get it sometime before the end of the week.

Wow---my job just ended suddenly and I have hte rest of the day free! Yay!

But---my DH's car was not working today so he had to drive me ot work and now has my car. Boo!

But he happened to go over to the new house to help pour footings for the barn so he's only 3 miles away and can pick me back up. Yay again!

Thoroughly shocked by Brantley's review of LEGALLY BLONDE. I had felt sure that this would be one of those exceptions, a show that's well-regarded despite a disappointing score. And the Times proofers couldn't even spell the name of the (I thought) wonderfully gifted bookwriter of Legally Blonde, the inspired Heather Hach (they spelled it Hatch in the print edition, at least). Ms. Hach has I think the potential to be a great force in musical comedy as a bookwriter, assuming the work was basically hers and not the director's, but I suspect after that treatment from the Ny Times, she may pick herself up and go back to Hollywood. That would be theater's loss, IMHO. Best book of a new musical I've seen since SPELLING BEE, but I guess that's not the consensus.
