Last night, DR George said:
Quote
I used to have one of these when we lived in Germany!  Talk about an unsafe toy for kids!

Oh, one last thing.  I also had one of those Time Machine toys.  Got a       burn on my finger from how hot the plastic got as well.

Can I sue for pain and suffering from almost forty years ago?  :) ;)

Yeah, we burned our fingers on this and the Thingmakers and the Easy Bake Ovens, but we all lived to tell about it.

The wussy kids today, though--the only injury they have to worry about is carpel tunnel syndrome or text messaging thumb stress!  Bah!  These kids wouldn't know a good time if it hit them in the head!

Which is exactly what happened to us when we played with Time Bomb!  And we liked it!

Does LEGALLY BLONDE:  THE MUSICAL count as a courtroom drama?

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up...

And I've actually been up since about 7:30.  I just opened my eyes, felt awake, so I got out of bed.  -Of course, I'll probably have a big "dip" around 3:00 this afternoon, but in the meantime, I'm up.

Alas, no oatmeal for me this morning.  Instead, since I had the time, I went ahead and made a "real breakfast" - (turkey) bacon and eggs.  Alas, no Wonder Bread or any bread at all.  But I'm sure I'll have some carbs for lunch.

INHERIT THE WIND
TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD
ADAM'S RIB
WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION (although you can't really watch it twice)
12 ANGRY MEN (original and the TV update which added black men to the jury. Reginald Rose original writer did this one too)

Never saw a Few Good Men and probbaly won't because of the now infamou scene show and copied many times.  YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH

And it's turning out to be quite a full day for me.  Auditions from 1:00-6:00, and then I'll be paying a visit to the pit of A Chorus Line this evening.  -I just need to check if it's an 8:00 or 7:00 curtain.

Dead Jean: Well, when she was alive we referred to the house as Jean's House. But now that she is deceased and  the house has had a series of new owners and we never met any of them, we call it Dead Jean's House.

Now with the Curtis Hanson/Curtis harrington mix up I went back to IMDB and to see what CURTIS HARRINGTON directed.

I was quote surprised that I have seen quite a number of his films or knew about them.

One was a 1967 film called GAMES with Katherine Ross, Jmaes Caan and Simone Signoret. The plot: A young couple who are into kinky "mind games" get more than they bargained for when a mysterious woman comes into their lives.

Now if I saw it today I am not sure I would have the same reaction, but I would love to see it again.

Some others:
How Awful About Allan. I believe it was an ABC movie of the week.
Whoever Slew Auntie Roo? A good scarey film. A reworking of Hansel and Gretel with Shelly Winters and Mark Lester and some great British actors in support.

What's The Matter With Helen? I never saw because the movie posters/ads gave away the ending by showing a dead Debbie Reynolds. Dumb dumb.

Killer Bees another TV with Gloria swanson, Kate Jackson and Edward Albert. Not bad as bee movies go. I never miss a movie with Bees and Gloria Swanson together.

The Cat Creature a TV movie written by Robert Bloch and with Meredith Baxter who worked with BK a couple years earlier in Young Love.

Ruby a reasonable good horror film with Piper Laurie taht had its ending resoot and the film re-release because of the film Carrie that Piper laurie also appeared in. It tried to copy the scarey ending of Carrie according to IMDB The producer chose to change the ending, and both Curtis Harrington and Piper Laurie refused to be involved in the re-shoot. It was allegedly shot by Stephanie Rothman, who has neither confirmed nor denied her involvement.
The radically re-edited TV version is credited to Allan Smithee.

After that he work almost execlusively in episodic TV

Very strange...I know that I once saw GAMES and that I liked it a lot, but for the life of me I cannot recall anything else about it except a scene with Ross and Caan in bed together laughing over some stunt that they just pulled off.  Is this one on DVD?

I just checked Amazon and it is not.

Can't find it on eBay, either.  But there is a poster for sale.

Good morning!

Something of the white sky effect this morning, but it's still going to be a pleasant day in the high 60s, so that's great.

I saw GAMES and loved it, too, and then years later realized that it was in many ways a remake of DIABOLIQUE or certainly a film that borrowed HEAVILY from that French film.

All of my favorites courtroom dramas have been named already but for the record:

WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION

THE VERDICT

ANATOMY OF A MURDER

A FEW GOOD MEN

INHERIT THE WIND

JUDGMENT AT NUREMBERG

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD

and I'll also add THE PARADINE CASE since most people hate this Hitchcock film and I love it.

I've only THE SOPRANOS and ENTOURAGE left from my heavily recorded Sunday schedule, and I have CSI: MIAMI from last night, too. Otherwise, I'd love to watch a DVD today. Exactly what, well, I don't know that yet. We'll see.

Well, had you been patient I would have! I had a list ready right after I read the notes, but now, thanks to you, the last entry has been eliminated! (Other early birds did in the rest of my list!)

I actually didn't think it was as good as past weeks have been. I did really enjoy mohinder and molly.  And i like watching peter and claire AND hiro and ando.  But i found myself slightly bored.  The end was good (it always is).  But i just didn't feel like anything substantial was happening.
