I have "Part of Your World" going through my head, and MBarnum has "The Siddhartha Blues along the Ganges" going through his.

Thanks to all for the vibes. They must be working because as I checked us in I was able to change our seats from a group of 3 seats to an exit row with just two seats so we don't have to share our aisle with anyone.

As I have been know to say, Hoo and Ray!

We are checked in and all is progressing smoothly.

I am about to go home for lunch.

Later, gaters.

Speaking of dissing, don't anyone be dissing that cutie pie, DR MBarnum.  Clueless, simple-minded?  Never!! I say he's an endearingly, charmingly innocent  ;) ;)

...yes, a wide-eyed, dimpled-smiling babe in an increasingly jaded, hardened world of cynics....

DR ADRIANNA PATTI was abducted by aliens, she reported last night.  I only hope and pray that in the next few days she does not grow to be 50 feet tall....it has happened....based on the sworn testimony of the miserable souls who survived.

I now have a NEW Mo-Dem, and it seems to be working well.  Time will tell.

Hmmmm... DRMBARNUM did you find the perfect candidates for the law clerks?  Do they have to include pictures with their resumes?

My guess from that list is that you are interviewing Ms Sally Todd!

SPOILER

Well, let me see.  It's later in the same story arc...and Allison keeps having visions.  Joe seeks advice from an attorney.  Joe's boss offers him an "early" bonus and encourages him to take a couple of more weeks.  And, oh yeah, the company insurers want Joe to sign a waiver holding the company harmless from any past OR FUTURE problems BEFORE he can go back to work.  Meanwhile, Allison keeps trying to find a way to let Debra (Neve Campbell) know how concerned she is for Debra's safety.  Debra, however, begins distancing herself from Allison's concerns.  In the DA's office, Manuel begins receiving news reports insinuating he has mishandled this case, just as he did a previous case (link???).  Allison has a vivid dream that assures her Debra's in trouble and she goes to Debra's hotel.  In trying to convince Debra she's in trouble, Allison levels with her about her talents and how she uses them to help the DA.  Later, news story reveals all the shocking details about how the DA is in the thrall of some self-absorbed psychic to tell them what to do. Realizing that Debra has lied about who she is, Allison confronts Debra, enraged at the betrayal.  Debra tells Allison she needs professional help.

To be continued.....

WHAT?!  That's it?!  ANOTHER continuation?!  I hate those!  I knew she was a reporter from the get-go -- I was just wanting to know if she had a connection to the murdering-husband guy, like maybe his girlfriend, the one he was messing around with when he murdered his wife, and she pulled the head out of the freezer and killed that lady to make it look like the murdering-husband guy really wasn't the one who killed his wife in the first place and then he'd get set free, they'd get married, share the dead wife's wealth together while she won a Pulitzer for her article exposing the DA and his psychic -- you know, something juicy like that...

This is one of the more sedate moments from Aventurera - a movie also recommended by no less an authority on sordid movies than DR EDISAURUS!!   ;D

My hat is off to Amazon (if I wore one, that is.)  The replacement copies of the damaged CD arrived at my office this very morning!  Which is a very good thing, since two of them are going to be part of my Mother's Day gift basket to Mom.

I just might wear a hat today in honor of Amazon's quick customer service response.  Perhaps a snazzy straw hat like the kind that Garry Moore would occasionally don.

Did she mention seeing Bratty Spoogehetti or BD FDR Robin on the Mother Ship?... Maybe someday it will land, like in Close Encounters, and all our missing HHWers will file out...

Friday greetings!  Today's an information-waitressing day for me, then I get a weekend off.  Not my usual alternate 3-day, though, because I've elected to change my day off next week to Friday.  Two days will be very nice anyway.

Travel vibes to DR Ben and his ever-lovin' Anthony!

I'm just passing through on a quick break from work. I have to scramble to get everything covered since I will be out all or most of next week serving as a juror on a civil case.

No.  Catalina is off the coast nearest to LA.  I'm 500 miles to the north across the Bay from San Francisco.

I keep meaning to say that I bought the new book on Doris Day's movies titled CONSIDERING DORIS DAY by Tom Santopietro.

It is MOSTLY a rehash of stories from Doris' bio and re-iteration of Molly Haskell's thoughts about Day in FROM REVERANCE TO RAPE - but there is an almost scene by scene breakdown of Day's films.  It is very interesting - but I was thinking it would delve a bit more into the why Doris was so popular WHEN she was popular and what the contemporary audiences were saying by making Doris the TOP female box office star for so many years.

Her recording and television careers are also discussed.  The pictures are great - if you are a Day fan or are interested in her, this is a fine book.

And in case you didn't know:

Doris Day is the biggest female star in Hollywood history.  She spent ten years ranked as one of the top ten box office attractions including FOUR years at number one.  Neither Elizabeth Taylor nor Betty Grable who also spent ten years on the list could match Doris' four years as number ONE!

Only John Wayne ranked above her in the Quigley Poll (exhibitors and distributors) as the TOP BOX OFFICE personality of the 1960's.

I love Doris Day.
