DR Danise - They say that life goes on.  And, apparently, it does.  I'm still amazed - and proud - of you you've handled everything over the past couple of weeks.  I hope that once you're back in Florida, that you'll have a few days to rest.  You deserve it.

A room decorated with bare-bottom fairies - is there a message?

Danise,  I'm so happy for you!  It sounds like you gave your mother a wonderful send-off and found more family, to boot!

Now go home, put up your feet for the rest of the weekend!  Play with the doggies!  Putter in your garden!  And treat yourself to a nice dinner (steak!)

Hmmmm working the next two days.

After looking at all 12 of my lines, I decided I didn't want to drive 70 miles a day for five weeks doing MIDSUMMER.  There ARE small parts.  I haven't seen the cast list, but I do know that the man she ORIGINALLY offered the part to certainly is a BETTER actor than the part would indicate.

My problem with this director - who is an instructor at the local university - is that she has cast mostly University people in play.  She has set it - in her words - in a indefinite time.  The royals are "University people", the mechanicals are "the locals", and the fairies are "children."  I don't like town and gown competitions to begin with....anyway....I hope she has a good show.

Oy!  That is a long drive for such a role!  I don't blame you for passing on Snug, either.  And acting with children is never a good idea. You would be acting your brains out and all you will hear is the wrrrrrrrrr of video cameras held by parents in the audience.

Just checking in one last time before I have to leave the room.  The cab will pick me up about 1:45--my family (isn't at a GREAT word?) couldn't take me because they had to work.  I understand that.  They didn't know I was coming or that any of this was going to happen so they couldn't make last minute arrangements.  If I had stayed until tomorrow, they could have taken me but I didn't know what was going to happen either...

Life does go on and now days most people do have to work.  I totally understand that.  Next time I will make better plans.

Thank you all again.  I don't know that came though this with any grace--It just feels like I just came though it the best I could.  These past few weeks seem unreal to me--A nightmare/dream with a silver lining.

Thank goodness for the long holiday weekend.  I plan on doing nothing tomorrow but sleep then be with the dogs.  Sunday, I will take them to the dog park.  Poor babies they don't know what is going on.  Now maybe we can settle down into our new life and it will be better for them as well.

I know they will be scared when I leave for work on Tuesday because they will think I am going to leave them for days again.  It's something they will have to get used to.

I am very, very, very glad I got that doggie door installed when I did.  It is a life saver for them and for me.

And as for "Idol" - Since we're not talking about "Lost" today (so far)... ;)

So, will there be a Beatles' round next season?  Or did they use up their song quotient the other night?  Or will their rights be revoked after that hastily thrown together "tribute" to "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"?

Travel vibes for DR Ben.  Sorry about the mix up with your presentation.  I hate having to do them at work because everyone changes theirs at the last minute as well.  "Can you add this?"  "Take that out."  Etc, Etc.  Oy!

Well, I guess I'd better go.  I got a late check out but I want to be ready when the cab comes.

I just wanted to tell you all about one other thing that happened yesterday.  They gave me some bookmarks with Mom's obitiurary on them.  I told them they were the most expensive book marks I've ever seen because they cost me my Mother.

I shared some of them with the family.

I'll try to post at the airport.  I should have lots of time before the flight  but I guess it's better to be very early then late.  I can walk around and check out some of the stores, etc.

Laters all--if not at the airport then back down in Tampa!

I believe it's usually butt-kissing vibes we need!

Actually, they might work it put better than you think. They now know from experience that if you are gone for days at a time, you do come back and still love them. Your only going away for a day will seem a nice treat. If you don't already have one, devise an "I'm Home and I Missed You" ritual involving hugs and treats. Our tribe have helped develop their own - each has their particular part to play - even Bonnie who does not get in the dog-biscuit line-up, but patiently waits sitting on the back of the couch, for her treat to be delivered (she is a Princess, after all!).
