DR edi, are you seeing HOT FUZZ today?

I think we're going Monday. Tonight we'll either go to the concert up on the Square with friends, or go to a town an hour north to a lodge shoot skeet and party a bit.

Spiffy avatar, DR Edisaurus!

:)

My computer took it. Unfortunately, the Mac uses a wide aspect ratio in its little camera so the HHW page stretches it into a vertical file to fit the format.

This apparently inspired Elmore's first words upon meeting me: "I thought you'd be SCRAWNY!" (Gee...thanks! As If I'm already not sensitive enough about my weight!)

But I still love you anyway, Elmore, and there's even MORE of me to love you than you thought!

I found this because the newspaper is mentioning me in an article on Sunday and asked for a photo.

The editor said: "That mug is very horizontal and our standard mugs are vertical. Hate to try to turn you into a 'standard' gal, but do you have a more vertical shot anywhere ?"

I didn't, but I guess I'd rather be known as a "standard gal" than a  "horizontal gal"!

Not nearly soon enough!  Although they're sending us home early...I get to leave in a few minutes.

OK - I think I've cooped myself up in the apartment enough for today.  I really should get outside for a bit.

Good morning all.

What an emotional roller coaster day yesterday was!

....

It’s a whole new world that dawned today.  I think it’s going to be alright.   :) ;)

That's wonderful, Danise!  It's great to know that something good came from this very sad event.

My little French boy sent me a photo of us from 20 years ago, and it was the only thing I had on my computer at work, so I cropped my head in the photo to be the right size and sent it to the paper. It will be small and B&W so maybe nobody will notice how old it is!

Isn't this a cute little French boy?

And I wish I was still this "scrawny"!

No butt viewing today. He decided not to do the trees until Tuesday. So, since I was sitting here waiting, I called the office and decided to take both Friday and Tuesday off.  It's already been great.

I was supposed to leave at 3:00 to go to the lake and see my family.  Looks like I'll be a little late, lol, especially since I haven't packed yet.  I just have to figure out what to wear to a bridal shower in the morning, the rest is easy.

Jhvw has moved in with my brother's family for the summer. This will be interesting. Anyway, he's only 2 hours away from me now, so I'm sure I'll be seeing more of him.  He's going to help me with a computer network at my office and thinks he can secure the incoming wireless so I don't have to pay for high speed internet.  Cool beans.   Anyway, I'll see him in a couple hours.

He's going to take it easy this summer - the most time he's had off at one time since he was 16  years old is 9 days in a row. So, it's time for him to have a summer to mess around and see what he wants to be.  He's going to do things for my brother and my parents. He'll drive mom and dad to Joplin when his niece is born so they can meet the great grand daughter.  But he's basically taking the summer off then will go back to school full time in the fall and finish college.

DR Cillaliz - tell DR jhvw to try not to secure his summer off the way our DS Rob has, by coming down with mono.  Please give him our best and tell him we'd like to hear from him.

Rob's venturing out into the world on his own today for the first time in almost a week.  He went to work for the afternoon and afterwards will head to campus to see his girlfriend in her ballet performance.  Fortunately, he still has his dorm room and parking space on campus, so can crash there tonight.
