A woman had a cramp in her leg, stepped on the gas, and drove into a Popeye's restaurant. What's wrong with this picture? What information aren't we getting? Like maybe she shouldn't be allowed to drive an automobile? I'm sorry, and I'm certainly not an ageist, but if this woman was elderly, then it's just so typical of these sorts of accidents (I'm sure some remember that horrifying accident in Santa Monica some years ago where an elderly man got "confused" and stepped on the gas, killing about twenty people. And if it wasn't an elderly lady, then whoever it was should have her license taken away because she obviously cannot handle problems while in the car, and I don't give a flying Wallenda if she had a leg cramp or not, for God's sake.

Skip got a chuckle because I insisted on using up some of the old 39-cent stamps we had on some priority mail envelopes (one of which was to BK).

Well, maybe tomorrow Jeff will be here to cut down the trees. It's supposed to rain sometime in the afternoon, so we'll see. I have to go to court for one hearing in the afternoon, but other than that I'll be here if he is.

It did look funny having those twelve 39-cent stamps all lined up. I would have chuckled at me, too, if it weren't for the fact that it was me at whom I would have been chuckling.

I guess I could just chuck the 39-centers, but that would be wasteful.

I never get carded. They just let me order off the senior menu with nary a word.

Maybe when you were a kid you just didn't pay as much attention to the news.

If you ever havce an opportunity to look at some newspapers from the 40s or 50s you will notice that things haven't really changed much...or vice versa.

Taming is one of my FAVORITE Bard plays, and I once played the widow at the end. Very fun, I used to know every word by heart, and have seen many productions. The version I was in was unique in the fact that we tried to reproduce the musical version from Kiss Me Kate, using the songs and dances where they belonged, and the rest from the traditional play. I loved it.
