Didn't Elmore also coin the phrase "Bimbo Barnum" at the same time :D

der Brucer

I dont believe that I've ever referred to DR MBarnum as a "bimbo." It's a word that's never commonly used in my vocabulary.

I will, however, take full credit for the Fickle Filipino appellation.

I've had a mostly Kyra Sedgwick afternoon.

I started with the next episode in the season two box of THE CLOSER. This is the one where a boy's death in an operating room was deemed a murder by his mother. Interesting case, but I found the ending a bit too pat. One of my least favorites of this second season.

AAHHHH!!!  I didn't know about this!  I LOVE Kathy Griffin! :D

I do, sorta.  She didn't treat my friend Dennis Hensley well on the first season of LIFE ON THE D LIST.

Since I only have a few season two episodes left, and I didn't want to "use them up" too quickly, I switched back to season one and watched a couple of episodes.

One involved the murder of Russian prostitutes, an excellent episode.

He is very dense.     ::)

Yes, but hot air weighs very little, and there's all that empty space between his ears.

I can only judge what I've seen on HBO/Showtime/Starz. Two of the biggest hits of the past two years were WEDDING CRASHERS and THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN. I had friends who liked both. I found both unbearable.

I loved 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN. The last sequence had me laughing so hard, especially the parody of that '70's Twyla Tharpe choreography.

I started the next one dealing with a sniper picking off gang members (with guest star Richard Roundtree) but I only got about 10 minutes in. I'll finish it when I go back down.

OK...not everyone will find this funny, but I did! Especially if you are annoyed by inarticulate grunge bands...

Again, I'm the odd man out. The film grossed over $100 million, so I'm in the minority, but there you are. Today's comedies just aren't for me.

The plumbers should be here shortly; then I need to take this laptop in for repair. I hope they consider it to be warranty work.

I also watched another ANGEL episode. Again, it was mostly filler as the ticked off the clock before allowing Angellus to escape from his cage. Other than his reading everyone and causing doubts among the faithful, very little happened.

I'm ba-ack....

DR MBarnum - Well, since the marriage never happened, thus, we were never the "first HHW marriage".

And as for standing you up, well, I do have to say that that is one my life's major regrets.  However, if I recall correctly, it didn't you too long to decide to venture out on your own during that trip to New York City.

I cleaned the living room this morning, so when I head back down in a few minutes, I'll be able immediately to finish THE CLOSER episode I had started and then proceed with FROM THE TERRACE.

Rossovich.

Rick Rossovich.

I stand corrected.

-I guess I was just distracted by the sweat dripping off his pecs and abs.   8)

-And remember when he got of bed during "E/R's" first season... and he had no pants nor underwear on.   :o

We're off to see Pirate 3 this morning. I hope it is as much fun as the others. We didn't find Pirates 2 to be too long as did so many others.

Oh, standing me up in NY was a whole other situation DR Jose.

The two of us were married before ever meeting in person. Swishysarah officiated, I think. Or maybe BK did. I forget.

It isn't too early to start thinking about din-din.

I wonder if I should startle some shrimp, or thrill some pork chops.

Yep--they're all up in the cupboard.  The big yellow one is for making cake batter, the green one is for making Jell-O, the red one is for haircuts and the blue is for storing leftover green beans in the fridge.

What do you do if you serve corn?

I was able to see the pictures from last night. I looked in Firefox instead of IE7.

Adorable, Jose. Oh, yeah, the kids are cute too  ;)

The wedding photos are quite loverly. You two make a beautiful couple. I bet TCB was poppin' his buttons with pride!

I didn't attend.  Apparently an invite was sent, but not received.  Oh well, we shall celebrate with pizza and that long overdue ice cream treat.

I remember seeing local non-professional productions of "Chess" and "Escape From The Forbidden Planet" when the directors a lead roles - attempted to show how brilliant they were (NOT) and drew the focus away from what would have a been a pleasant production.
