Deb (AKA Vixmom) is NOT coming into the city according to Ginny. They spoke yesterday and it is not possible for her to partake of the festivities.

Loved the 43rd Street Party Report, especially the way it was presented. Very funny Fred.

I have no interest in even having an ipod!

Me either. I just can't think of a reason to have one. I think they're great, but I just don't need it.

Very happy to read about the successful openings of DRs George and Cason's shows. Much luck with your remaining performances.

I was having a good night of sleep until a nightmare woke me up, and I'm afraid I must put the blame for the nightmare on director Hiroshi Teshigahara. After watching WOMAN IN THE DUNES last night, I dreamed I was in a sand dune with another guy (no one from the movie), and we were smoothing out the sand with our hands. All of a sudden, as he was shifting the sand with his right hand, it fell off his wrist and was just lying there in the sand. He continued moving sand around with the end of his wrist, and I just sat there and stared at that unmoving hand in the sand.

Hand in the Sand - a good novel title perhaps?

I think probably my favorite film score to listen to was CHARADE. I just loved every cut on that album.

Today I'm determined to finish the ACTION comedy series set and I want to watch LAND OF THE PHAROAHS, too. Tonight will definitely be THE FACE OF ANOTHER, the last of the films in the Criterion set I'm watching. There is still, however, an entire disc of supplements (almost three hours' worth) that I'll watch either tonight or tomorrow.

So, if anyone does happen to touch base with DR vixmom today - Is she still planning on coming in this afternoon? - could you inform her of the meeting at John's Pizza at 5:15.

Also, I'm done at 2:00 and was just planning on hanging out around midtown, so if she - or any other DR would like to venture out somewhere for a cookie, cupcake, caramel corn, etc. - just give me a call on my cell.

DR Vixmom is not coming in today!

I can't remember if ENTOURAGE is coming on tonight or not. I stupidly forgot to set the DVR to get A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION, so I'll have to pick it up on a rebroadcast later this week. That's OK since I have a big stack of DVDs to keep me busy.

Sunday morning greetings!  Can't stay long, because I'm due to meet DH Richard at the church next door for mass in about 15 minutes.

We, too, enjoyed the festivities at Fred & Skip's yesterday - the meal was outstanding and the company sparkling, as ever.  Curtains was such fun - the seats were great.  It was such a thrill to visit Karen's dressing room.  She was so gracious to DR Elmore's entourage.

In the afternoon, Richard and I had seen Inherit the Wind from 'way up in the balcony.  Once I saw the staging, I was just as glad we weren't sitting on the stage.  The show was so well done and more humorous than I'd expected.

Today, we're just going to wander around Times Square and shop a little before meeting at John's Pizza at 5:15 and then see The Fantasticks this evening.  Maybe we'll find a shady spot to have a cool drink and read our books and people-watch.  DR Jose, call me if you want to relax with us!

DR Michael Shayne, is Canada Day like our Fourth of July? Or does it have some other significance?

yes.

It was when Canada officially became a country and not part of the UK.

I'm just a chapter or two from finishing the Donald Stratchy mystery ICE BLUES, so I think I'll head down and finish it. Then, I'll start preparing lunch. Afterwards, Laundry.

Sunday is ALWAYS a busy day.

Another pet peeve. Especially in Florida.

Driving.
People single to turn right and then turn left.

People cut in front of you at a red light so they go before you

Driving from lane to lane with out singling on the 1-95

Look at the 50 sountracks article. West Side Story is there but Sondheim is not mentioned but they credit him as a co-writer of Bernstein's On the Waterfront score.

A very interesting and varied collection of music not all just instrumental; some a colelction of songs like American Graffitti
