CHERRY RIPE
« on: July 15, 2007, 12:26:14 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both cherry and ripe, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're on their way to Australia because they can't wait for my shipment of Cherry Ripe to arrive.

Due to an incident 50 years ago involving the consumption of boxes of cherry ripes (which were I believe not obtained in the usual acceptable retail seller/customer manner) a resident of this house can not even look at or smell a cherry ripe without feeling ill.  I like cherry ripes and cherry ripe is also an ice-cream variety.
WARNING: Cherry ripe bars show up as a +ve alcohol reading on breath tests.  Do not drive after consuming a few cherry ripes. (maybe even one).

The cherry ripe advertisement on Australian TV has the record of being the longest running advert ever in this country!

I worked all day yesterday over at the other house, weeding and pulling up trees since we've had nice good rain and things come up easier.

When I got home at 10PM, the power was out all over our part of the city. It's slowly coming back on, but I have no intenet access. I do, however have a charged up battery and a lot of time to think of the TOD:

When we got home, we took a walk through the area to see it there was any lightning damage. At the end of the block, a huge old willow oak was struck. It blasted the bark off the tree and across the street. The tree was still standing, but it is split down the middle so I'm sure it will have to come down. Very sad.

The power came back on after we went to bed. I was happy to hear our window air conditioner kick on!

Mr Merlin the Cat thanks DR DAKOTA CELT.

Thanks, DR SINGDAW.  It's actually a nice production.  Amy had a vision for her show that was interesting and she and her cast all followed thru on it from beginning to end.  She has a live music combo playing some fiddle and guitar and the lighting is quite nice as well.

The kids tend to talk too fast making it hard to understand them sometimes, but at least the play doesn't drag!!

Last night (it wasn't planned) I went to see the new Die Hard. I highly recommend it. It was exciting, literally on the edge of your seat action/adventure/thriller. Even if the plot and some of the stunts were over the top; who cares. I really got my money's worth. of all the films I have seen so far this summer season this was the best.

Better than Harry Potter, Transformers, Ratatouille and whatever else I've seen.

BK ~ About Mickey Rouke's face, I read that he's had work done trying to repair major damage from his days of boxing .. he doesn't even look like the same guy, which makes me sad cuz I always thought he was good-lookin'/attractive in that sexy "bad boy" way ...

Good morning!

Too bad I couldn't have waited to mow the grass this morning since it was cool enough to have made it comfortable to carry out such a dreaded chore. But, it will heat back up today as it always does in July. It's the nature of the beast.

Good morning, all! I should be in Toyland this morning, but around 7 am, after two painful hours with a charley horse in my left calf, I sent an email cancelling the morning session.  I am now hobbling about the apartment and praying that whatever malnourishment or plague causing the damned situation is over.

I shall spend the morning with a chart for Mr Spirtas, and then I may follow the example of DR MBarnum and nap.

I'll probably break into the first seasons of either MOONLIGHTING or VERONICA MARS to begin my viewing this afternoon. Then, later today I will watch RENAISSANCE - PARIS 2054, what looks like a kind of animé with Daniel Craig voicing the lead role. It's rated R, too, so that makes it something different for me to watch.

I also have BAGHDAD CAFE which I want to watch.

Good morning, Miss Karen. I'm on the forum a bit earlier than usual, but I didn't find a lot in the Sunday paper to keep me occupied.
