Joyce is the character, not the actress.  The latest: The agent is telling us that the actress really wants to do it, but must talk to her husband who was supposed to be home by now but who's running late.  So, she asked us to wait just a little while longer, and since it's now to late for the other offer to go out, we'll wait - I'm hoping to hear tonight, or the morning at the latest, but if we haven't heard by ten-thirty, the other offer goes out - and that actress is free and if she likes it, that will probably work out.  Gregg Edelman, whose offer was on the table for Fred, will be out of the country, so the next offer is already out - haven't worked with this actor, but everyone I've spoken to about him adores him, so I'm just  flying on a wing and a prayer.

But can you get a Coca-Cola cupcake (pronounced Co-Cola) anywhere but Atlanta?

You mean one that is made with Coca-Cola (in both the cake and frosting)?  If so, yes.  There are two amazing Harlem bakeries that make Chocolate Coca-Cola Cakes - as full sheet cakes and cupcakes.

My ex/friend, Steve, makes a mean Coca-Cola Cake.  And he always doubles the icing. :)

I have some writing to do, so I'm going to tend to that and then head downstairs to start BROTHERS GRIMM on Blu-ray.

I cleaned the den this morning, so I don't have that little duty to perform tonight.

I would have taken out a loan to go to NYC if Donny Osmond played Fred.

Likewise...if Brian D'Arcy James had been cast!

I am very pleased that he was considered. He would have made one heck of a Fred.

DR MusicGuy has also performed at the Fabulous Fox Theatre!

Isn't that a  burlesque house? Shame DR Musicguy, shame.

And MBarnum would have moved to New York, if Brian d'Arcy James had played the part of Fred.

Well, I don't know if I would have gone that far...but perhaps I'd have auditioned for the part of Joyce!

I have heard no confirmation from General Mills - what else is new?

Maybe he had to ask his husband.

At last the ulterior motives for this idolatry surface!

Great news about Steve Luker! I liked him.

Bad news: the tv news says the subways are still having major problems.

I'm leaving shortly to meet up with the group for dinner.  Hope the transportation problems don't get too much in the way of getting there.

Yes!  But I was figuring in the time to get ready and take care of a few things along the way - and leave a little extra time for the transportation woes of the day.

Larry - will you be able to join us?  I hope so!

Well, I haven't actually ever had one, but the West Egg Cafe (near your Hilton) has won awards for theirs.

If it takes more than15 minutes to get there, I'm coming back.  It's nice to see the MTA morons getting raked over the coals on the news.

And since a lot of people ended up driving into the city today, I'd say don't even bother with the busses.

A lady just showed up at my work with two beautifully framed SACCO AND VANZETTI posters---one was the theatrical poster (HUGE!) and the other was for the screenings in Italy in July. They should look nice in the new editing room, if the wall can hold them!
