Annie Golden is going on in XANADU tonight, if any NYers are interested. . .

I sat next to Annie Golden at the revival of KISS ME KATE several years ago. She was SO into the show (I loved it, too). She makes a wonderful audience member with her constant enthusiasm and support of actors on the stage.

Last night I was given a CD of the 1986 Carnegiie Recital Hall concert of the original 1925 NO NO NANETTE score. I had scored for that concert the British addition, "Take A Little One-Step," and the John McGlinn, the conductor for the concert, had promised me a cassette of the number for over 15 years and never delivered, so it's nice to have finally obtained a copy from a more reliable and generous source.

RESCUE ME comes on tonight, so I will have that to watch at 10.

Until then, I have THE PIRATE to finish, I want to watch SHAUN OF THE DEAD either this afternoon or this evening, and I may even get at long last to Val Kilmer IS Moses!

Jose, I may take you up on your Blonde offer.

OK.  However, it seems that the traditional fall sales slump has already started, so...  If you find yourself near the Palace and want to see the show on a weeknight... But I can still put in a request for you, although, they've been asking for a minimum of two weeks lead time for processing.

I highly suggest taking in "The Ten Commandments" basically one commandment at a time as it were.  I have a feeling you'll be better off "enjoying" it in snippets here and there rather than all at once.  Or you could make a drinking game out of it: Every time you hear the word "Moses" and/or see an "Israelite" do a pelvic thrust, you drink a beer or take a shot.  God knows, I could have used a drink when I saw it live.  ;)

I'm 1/3 of the way through. I'm reading it very slowly so I can better savor every event since I know this is the last one.

King Peter the Persnickety was know to take a wide stance when going to the bathroom. On more than one occasion It got him in trouble with his constituents.

I don't know if we're doing a poster, but we'll certainly have something and yes, I can get those signed for people who want them.

FWIW, I think you should use the album cover art on your poster.

***UPS DELIVERY VIBES***
for DR Ron Pulliam for today!

To quote Elmer Fudd:

If you read page 1, you'll note (with some relief, I hope) that the packages were delivered LATE yesterday afternoon...after I'd departed...but were signed for by a co-worker working late.

Still.....

DC (Dear Cat) Freddy seems to have run away from home, or gotten himself trapped again in a neighbors garage...I have not seen hide nor hair of the little critter since Monday morning.

That darn cat!  >:(

I'm heading down now to get lunch started a little earlier than usual. My stomach has been growling at me all morning, and it needs something to put into it.

You MUST play the Matt's Mind Reader game on disc 5 and tell me what you think of it. I played it six times, and it read my mind correctly every single time. An amazing little game, and I still can't figure out how the software does it.

You're worried sick, and I know it for sure!  I ALWAYS cussed up a blue streak when my Dickens didn't come home.  I "imagined" him being trapped in a garage or something, but I always had the sickest feeling in my stomach for fear I'd never see him again.

And...when he returned home looking as if nothing were out of the ordinary, I'd swoop him into my arms and hug him and kiss him on the head and he'd purr loudly.  I know he knew he was missed.

I suspect it's a variation of a "mind-reading" card trick.  -I remember learning it in high school in one of my math classes.  I also seem to remember some sort of TV variety show where they did the same sort of trick.  Regardless of how's it's done, it's still magical.
