As much as I would like to hear all the latest from the double opening night; I am afraid that I need to go to bed.

I'll catch up in the morning.

Coming home on Amtrak yesterday I met an older man who, when he learned that I was a contributing author of a medical textbook, asked my advice for a number of ailments he's had. He's been to a number of doctors to no avail. I recommended a couple of books, as well as an alternative practitioner. He's a nice ole guy, a judge, among other things. I hope he finds some relief.

Any particular books I might know of?

I'll have to read your response tomorrow as I'm very tired.

'bout as ready as I can be until tomorrow morning.  Considering my alarm will go off about 4am, I should be sleeping right now.

But I'm kind of waiting up for the show reports from NYC.

I got to the Acorn in time to see people departing through the lobby.  Everyone I saw was smiling and seemed to have had a really good time.  I will leave it for bk to reveal who was Brain Tapped.  Elmore3003 said it was the best show so far, so apparently the show disc loaded into the sound board properly.

bk departed almost immediately for dinner/errands/Such Good Friends, I believe.

I met DR Edisaurus and DH Greg for the first time.  They are the most warm, sincere folk you could ever hope to meet.  Loved them immediately!  :)  I did NOT see DR Miss Karen, however.  Was she there?  Did she flee through the stage door?

As he has pain problems I recommended Sherry Rogers' PAIN-FREE IN 6 WEEKS. Dr Rogers mentions all sorts of approaches to pain. She is an MD who herself had medical problems that neither her own training as a physician nor other conventional physicians could help. She was forced to rethink her training in order to heal herself. I have tried many of the approaches in the book. Some have helped more than others, but using a variety of approaches I am now able to keep what was severe, debilitating pain either gone or at least manageable.

Because he is having skin problems and none of the dermatologists have helped, I recommended seeing a homeopath, Lia Bello, who helped a friend's son enormously. Skin conditions are very important to homeopaths. Because homeopathy is quite different from the Western approach, I thought he should read a book on homeopathy. IMPOSSIBLE CURE by Amy Lansky is, I think, a good introduction. It is about her quest to find help for her son's autism. Homeopathy made a huge difference--so much so that Ms Lansky changed career fields (PhD in computer science from Stanford) and is now a practicing homeopath. Very readable.

DRs elmore3003, Edisaurus, DH Greg, cast member BJ, and I headed out to a lovely pizza dinner.  Shortly thereafter we were joined by DRs JoseSPiano, Cillaliz, and Samantha, fresh from their own unhurried dinner elsewhere.

DR Samantha is quite lovely.  It did my jaded old soul good to see her, flush with the excitement of being in NYC for the first time in her life.  Laughter abounded througout dinner.  Were any of your ears ringing,  DRs?  :)

It was a short walk from there to St. Clements, where Starfigher was about to mark its premiere at NYMF!

And right there, on the steps of the church, I wished DR FJL break-a-leg vibes.  He was very calm and collected.  AND I got two, count 'em, two hugs from DO RE MILLA!  :)

Leaving most of the DRs at the performance [my ticket is for next weekend], DR JoseSPiano proceeded around the corner to Amy's Breads, where The Enabler forced me AT GUNPOINT to buy Monkey Cake, cookies of various kinds, and some almond something-or-other.  Thus laden down, we proceeded to Virgin Times Square Megastore for much browsing and giggling.  The Enabler stuck a knife in my side and FORCED me to buy books, DVDs, and CDs.

And the whole while I had my camera, fully loaded and battery fully charged, and forgot/neglected to take one darn picture.

Me very sorry...  :(

Yes, I daresay DR Jeanne and I were a bit oblivious the other night.

"Oblivious" and "walking in NYC" are not a good combination...

DR PennyO - LOVE your new avatar.  Congrats to DR George for the assist!

Got a chance to start your book on the train into/out of NYC.  I am up to the G&S rehearsal.  Laughing my a$% off!  The people on the train were giving me strange looks.  Brava!  :)

The DVDs included Greg Kinnear in Auto Focus, on sale, and the CDs included the new Emily Saxe album and a few other surprises.

The book doesn't take itself very seriously; it's pretty funny.  And I got it as a gag gift, believe me!  :)

I'm now completely exhausted, and hope you will forgive me if I take the dog out for "last call" and then proceed to the sleeping chamber.

Good night and sweet dreams, everyone!
