Well, you've read the notes, the notes woke you up and now you are screaming, and now it's time for you to post until the screaming cows come home.

The Spring Racing Carnival has started in OZ. So far this state is free of Equine Flu. which has plagued the Northen States.
No "Blood Brothers" poster. I've not seen any of my blood brothers for over a year. They are unlikely to post on this site.

Wholesome trottin' race, or stuck-up Jockey-Boys setten down on the horse (like Ascot).

Ooh, a good one! I need to learn more "power-tile" words in Scrabble (words with X, J, and Z)... makes a nice extension for RAX, too...
Thanks to all for the lovely welcome backs, especially Der Brucer with that old photo ("Scarlet Street" editors and "Eighty-Eights" alumni Richard Valley and Tom Amorosi are sitting next to me, and The Lovely Wife(tm) is in the back...*sigh* oh, the memories...)
On the iPod: Some 300 hours' worth of lectures on the history and development of Jewish legal methodology
On my Youtube playlist: Comedy Central's roasts of Flavor Flav and Pamela Anderson (Talk about the sacred and the profane!).

Good Morning friends. I'm somewhat behind this morning due to a technical glitch created by a co-worker. I now must go and wash the bowl.

Good morning, all! I have a trek to the Post Office: the money order I sent for an eBay win two weeks ago has never arrived and I have to launch a complaint for the return of my money. If the jerk vendor hadn't specified money order only, I could have canceled a personal check and sent him a new one by now.
After that, I'm off to Toyland for several errands, and then a meeting with David Burnham. Full coverage on the news at 5.
Today is the 72nd Anniversary of the JUBILEE Broadway opening. Listen to "Begin the Beguine" today.
TOD:
DVD: ST MARTIN'S LANE
CD: Carnegie Recital Hall performance of NO NO NANETTE from 1986, JUBILEE, ENTRE NOUS ( my new Offenbach set)
VCR: Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose

bk - you and I seem to have had the same experiences with POLTERGEIST and TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE! Although I don't have the dvds yet - tonight on my shopping trip - I've always seen the brilliance of the former and the could-have-been of the latter.
One of my craziest memories of TZ: THE MOVIE is cheering a little too loudly when I heard Jennifer Warnes' voice emanating from the jukebox at the start of the Vic Morrow segment, the title tune "Nights are Forever" is, I guess, a guilty pleasure for me. It's one of those songs which isn't really memorable in the film itself, not available (I don't think) on any commercial cd, nor on any Warnes compilation - though it was available on vinyl - also as a twelve-inch remixed single.
